    Scoring tips?

I am having a lot of trouble scoring...my FG% is usually in the mid 30's. Any advice on how to generate scoring chances easier? Like what kind of shots to take, how to draw fouls, etc. Anything can help. Thanks.

    Re: Scoring tips?

I'm in a season with the Wolves playing on All-star and I'm having a tough time scoring too. It seems like the only move that works is pumpfake from the perimeter until they go for it and then take it to da rim fo a layup or dunk. other than that, I don't shoot real well. I'm having a tough time figuring out wat kind of shots to take, how to draw a foul, how to score inside, etc.

      Re: Scoring tips?

If I have a good post player like Shaq, KG, or Al Jefferson and I need some buckets, I just dump it down low and wait for everyone to spot up then make my move into the defender. If they decide to double team I kick it out to the shooter. If the person is not a shooter I use off ball control and cut in with him for the bucket. If they decide not to double my post player, I can score it most of the time. Also, if they decide to send more help d to interfere with my cutter, I just dish it out again for the open jumper.

Take your time, and let your spacing work.

If you are using a bad team (like the 'wolves for example)..you are going to have issues scoring, becasue there isnt any consistant scoring talent on that team.

Besides common sense stuff, like using your best player's strengths...you need to know your player's DNA: What kind of shots do they hit at their highest %?

as far as drawing fouls, using the left stick to either challenge the defense or avoind the contest will work. Use the sprint button and the L stick to trigger a hop step, spin move, or euro step animation, whjen you have some space. That will increase your chances of drawing shooting fouls.

You'll also occasioally get your jump shooters fouled when you run them off of screen and the defender is late contesting.

You have to begin your layup move, sooner then you think. you want to begin, once you have space, from between the top of the key, to the foul line.

Starting your left stick move, in the paint, is generally too late.
