Actually I did read it...and you didn't say anything about an "o-board"...wow, maybe YOU should read what you wrote. All you said was Howard missed two dunks with Ellis in his way...Granted Ellis isn't Wilt Chamberlin but is it possible? Sure.

And perhaps people who are claiming, like the original poster, that 3 out of 4 dunks are blocked/blown/misssed or whatever...does it not make more sense if that 's the case to pull it out and shoot a jumper? Do you have a better than 25% chance of draining it from the outside? If you do, then the smart thing to do is to pull it out. That's the point I was trying to make.

Or I guess you can just continue to do what isn't effective and obsessively complain about it. It's your choice. If I were you, and thankfully I'm not, I'd pull it out and shoot a jumper and stop bitching. Or be more selective about where I try to dunk.

If you want more effective dunks go play NBA Jams or NBA Street...lots of dunks in those games.

First of all... don't talk down to me.

Second of all... I play just as smart as someone who watches the NBA night in, night out, and who wants an accurate representation of the sport when I play. In real life, when Howard gets an offensive rebound against a small defender, the result is usually a dunk. This is why he led the NBA in dunks scored by far in 08/09. He did it with stunning regularity. Even this season, he's among league leaders in FG% because of this as well. Yet post-patch in Live, he misses dunks 3 out of 5 dunks when a player like Ellis is next to him. Not contesting, just next to him.

So please... pull your head out your *** and stop being a douchebag.

What ever bro...maybe you should sign a petition to sue EA? What else are you gonna do? People complain that there is to much dunking in the game, they patch and try to even it out a bit and people complain that the dunking is busted...I'm not singling you out here but people need to relax. It's a video game. Do we want it as real as possible? Absolutely...is it ever going to be JUST like a real game? Probably not.

I read these forums and I get the impression that these people (including you) would bitch and complain about the "Monopoly" board game because it doesn't accurately represent the real life real estate market...and god forbid a jersey or arena doesn't look like its real life counter part or the schedule not be 100% accurate in a season mode....dude I remember a time when "Double Dribble" was the best available hoops game back in the NES days...if you want something to bitch about, trying stopping the baseline 3 in that game...

never knew getting the ball down low with Shaq was, "ineffective". i'm not talking about blocked dunks, i'm talking, i'm free to the lane, go up, and just get 'stuffed' by the rim, you know, when the ball bounces back off the rim up into the air, doesnt go in. you understand what im saying?? and i'm pretty sure this is the only thing i've came on the boards and complained about, i'm loving NBA Live, other, than the amount of times in one game guys miss a dunk, THAT, is not realistic at all. and i dont get too many opportunities at dunks the way it is, so, it would be great for one to actually go down. it needs toned down, oh, and it's guys like Shaq, and LeBron that its been doing it too. also, no reason to act like a f**kstick, its a damn video game.

There's something to complain about...that's a game flaw...and you guys got your panties in a knot because dunks are misssed at a higher rate of frequency than you like? Please. Talk to the hand.

yeh, thats a pretty bad flaw, and so is the rate at which dunks are missed in nba live 10.

Ive really had no problem with it but it should be toned down because in the the nba Monte will never affect Dwight inside the paint unless he strips him down low with i doubt. But dont take it out.

I agree with toning it down. The missed dunked animation where the player is still hanging on the rim but the ball is shot back up and scores is stupid.

I'll make mine easy. EA, anything that works DON'T take it out. If you all recall when the nextgen idea was promoted we were told the benefits were more information could be put on disc. But what seems to baffle everyone is if that is the case why are things constantly removed to add new ones.

keep the shot scheme we currently have, i like the ability to choose if I want to go glass as well.

Before I stopped playing Live (horrible patch + no contest % for off the dribble shots) I recall bricking consecutive dunks with Nene and KMart because Fisher was standing under them...one after the other. Ridiculous.

I dont object to the blown dunks so much.

what drives me absolutely bonkers is guys with good close shooting %'s and routinely missing close shots at the rim.
