2nd patch coming out when????

Nope, but I assume EA is taking their time as this will likely be the last patch. (they get 2 free ones, third one is costly). So it is probably done or very close to done, but undergoing extensive testing to make sure they don't have to put out another patch to fix any gamekilling bugs/glitches. An educated guess, I could be wrong.

I just wish they would let us know what we can anticipate being changed/fixed in the upcoming patch. The devs have been awfully quiet since the game dropped. I like both bball games, but they both have a large amount of nagging issues.

We want it to be soon but the longer it takes the better in the end for us.

As long as they fix almost all that was wrong from release then the $45-$60 is worth it.

The first patch was only like 30MB big which means not much went into it.

I hope this one is big enough to overhaul the game so it can compete with 2K.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. No "ETA's" no "List of fixes" just work on the patch and get it out when it's ready. ETA's just have people coming here screaming 12:01 in the morning of the day it's supposed to be released making them put something out when it may not be ready. Premature lists also is another, "F U EA, U SAID U WAS GONNA FIX X AND IT'S STILL BROKEN, U SAID U SAID" sounding like little kids.

What would be good is if EA actually said if the second patch will add gameplay stuff.

Or...if it is simply to fix the overtime glitch.

At this stage, they haven't said anything about gameplay stuff...so you fellas may be getting your hopes up for nothing.

I am pretty sure Beluba is on holidays (his twitter etc hasn't been updated for weeks)...and Marcus has been moved on.

The second patch may simply be to fix the O/T glitch.

It would be good if they could actually state whether it's more than simply to fix the glitches in patch 1.

if it only fixed the OT glitch, it would have been out already. This is very likely the last patch, so I bet they are making damn sure every change they made doesn't mess up something else. This would mean having to pay for a third patch.

I agree, no way it takes this long to release a patch that only addresses the OT glitch.

I'm glad they're taking their time, hopefully testing this thing to the nines and it'll improve the game quite a bit without screwing up other areas.

Maybe they're trying to work with the NCAA guys to learn what they did better and get it in Live. (Presentation excluded of course) Just throwin' it out there.

But last patch they were very vocal about what was going on.

Beluba was constantly updating. Not just here, but via the EA site and twitter.

This patch......................absolutely nothing.

Beluba's stuff hasn't been updated for a month. The guy is probably taking a well earned holiday.

They may be taking ages because they are having problems actually fixing it. NCAA has the same bug. Maybe it can't be fixed?

Again, just playing Devil's Advocate...I hope they are actually working on a killer patch with improved post play + some new animations. The kind of patch 2K delivered.

Seems very strange they aren't at least saying to people "hey, we are including some really cool gameplay stuff".

Silence normally = bad news.

Companies that have good news to say normally can't stop talking about it.

Let's see A killer patch with fixed post play and I'll be buying this thing again the moment the patch is out. EA's history on these things is pretty poor though........

silence may not be a bad thing, they have 1 more shot for 10 to be good at best so less bragging and more work i hope is the focus of the team

fixing the OT glitch makes this game playable not good or great there are other areas that i hope gets some love, i only pray they fix the identity crisis the players in live seem to have developed bigs should be bigs and guards playing like guards guards

Plus they said devs won't be around here very often anymore (granted that announcement came well after Patch 2 was announced) and we don't have the right to get constant updates from devs. Sure it would be nice but it's not something I'm too concerned about.

They are under no obligation to post stuff here...absolutely none.

But it's poor form that they are completely silent on their own official EA site about the second patch.

Not a single comment about it or what it will do. Not a single "yes, the O/T thing will be fixed". Or "hey, we are working on this + that"

Why take all the hits and sit there as people sell their copies of LIVE or decide to buy the other game? Why not simply put some stuff on their own official site about what they are doing with the game? There's a reason these guys are selling poorly and sitting there and saying nothing doesn't help.

Seems pretty logical to me that you'd be pro-active. Especially when you are doing so poorly (worse sales than LIVE 09)

On their own forums, they've got their customers asking questions......and no one answers. Posts about bugs and patches just get left unanswered.

Here's some news anyway...a PM from Blackflash to another poster in the NCAA forums.

First off I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the game. The team worked hard to improve the gameplay and add elements that re-create a college basketball experience. While it's unfortunate that the team as of now has no plan for an update that doesn't mean that there won't be one later. Anything could happen but unfortunately as of now there is no plan for an update.

Another thing as well it's not the intention of the development team or EA to abandon any of you guys. You all make it possible for us to make all the sports games we love to play. The issues surrounding NBA LIVE 10 were big enough that it has pulled members of the NCAA team onto NBA LIVE. With the second update coming very soon for LIVE who knows what could happen. Just know that I will notify all of you once anything is heard regarding NCAA Basketball."

Hopefully the combined two teams working on the patch...NCAA + NBA Live 10 = a killer patch.
