Well, I didn't see a thread on this yet, and I came across a circumstance that made me wonder if anyone else had this happen to them.
I am playing a Knicks dynasty because I wanted to rebuild a team and see how to unload salary and etc.
So I went SG shopping on the FA list figuring I might not re-sign players like Larry Hughes and Chris Duhon for they might want too much money.
I was at the bottom of the list about when I came across someone I have almost forgotten about: Steve "Franchise" Francis rated 59 overall. I signed him for two years to the minimum, figuring at the worst he might see some garbage time here and there and be on the team next year, but my heart is the real reason I signed him. I'm a Maryland basketball fan
So first game after I sign him Duhon is stinking it up 0-6 or so when i pull him and put in Francis just to see how he plays.
I score 16 with Francis, mostly dunks, although he hit a 3 and a couple of jumpers. Imagine my happiness to see this steal of a player performing like a starter.
Question is this: Anyone else have any players out there like this? That out perform their ratings? Just curious since I am rebuilding. I might be able to take an all under 70 rated team to the championship
