Fantasy Draft??
Does anybody know or understand why when you do a fantasy draft players like Dwight Howard are there until the end of the 2nd round and players like Larry Hughes and JJ Redick are picked before him? Durant and Melo last until the end of the 1st. Like what the hell, I did it multiple times and wound up with the same results. I can get Brandon Jennings and Tyrek Evans in the 7th round and my team would be Steve Nash, Jason Richardson, Carmelo Anthony, Brook Lopez, and Dwight Howard, with Josh Smith coming off the bench? Like is there a reason for this?Tags: None -

I've been wondering the same thing. Actually in most fantasy drafts I have gone through Dwight Howard is there until the 5th round, Brook Lopez, Shaq, and Andrew Bynum are typically not even drafted. Alot of Centers and PF's actually are around until the later rounds 7+. Kind of ruins that whole experience, really. I'm not sure what ratings the CPU puts a priority on that would cause that.
It allows things like this to take place the last team I drafted after the patch thinking it might have been fixed:
C- Shaq O'neal, Greg Oden, Andrew Bynum
PF-Dwight Howard, Antwan Jamison
SF-Rashard Lewis, Ron Artest
SG-Kevin Durant, Michael Redd, Jason Richardson
PG-Allen Iverson (93 rating when moved to PG), Derrick Rose, Ty Lawson
Michael Redd, Jason Richardson, and Derrick Rose also players that for some reason are available very late in the draft in most cases.
By the way this was with the 19th pick each round. -

Jeff Foster of the Indiana Pacers gets picked, and Bynum, Shaq and Lopez are still sitting there. For that matter Roy Hibbert and a couple other young guys that are not really good players are there that I would still take over a Jeff Foster type.
Thabeet always seems to go early though. I've definitely been a bit baffled by this.Comment

The other thing that makes this weird is then you look at CPU picked rosters and they will have a backup PF at the Center spot, a SF at PF, and then usually two SG's and PG, and all the while there are really strong big men sitting right there.Comment
