If you play people online and have a few friends/OS people with the game, then definitely. If you don't play online much and just want a change of pace, it's a good change from 2K but I probably wouldn't trade 2K in for that reason (having both games keeps them both fresh and they excel in different areas).
I play Live probably 75% of the time I'm playing basketball games, mostly against my friends and randoms online. I actually even have fun playing randoms most of the time, I guess I just can contain the 3PT cheese and whatever else they do... I win some and lose some, but the game's pretty fun all the time.
