What I'd do if I really wanted to win:

If you are tired of losing to glitchers and don't care about playing a cheesy lineup (as long as you don't glitch), pick the Cavs and take out Mo Williams.

Mo is a glitch; I wouldn't advise using/relying on him, but everyone else on the Cavs is great and they are super stacked. Do your Big Z and Shaq at the same time if you want, but most importantly... put Bron at PG. Yeah, it's cheesy, but think of it this way... his speed ratings are off the chain. I was using AI to chase and block shooters, imagine it w/ Bron. He could even close out on a 3 and get the block, and I bet they'd rarely call a foul on you for jumping.

Something you guys might want to try if you are super frustrated. I believe Bron's ratings (esp speed) will make him the toughest player to get open off of... and he won't be punished for running the point... plus he can totally just shoot midrange over their PG all day.

PS: That means to match Bron up w/ their glitch shooter... so if they put Bibby at the 2 to avoid it... you'd move Bron to the 2.

    Just an idea...

Mo Williams is a glitch cheese player - most of the people I play against online pick the Cavs and just jack up 3's with Mo Williams all game long. They don't even try to pass. The sad thing is that Mo will make about half of these crap 3's even if he's contested - EA needs to fix this garbage. I'm tired of stupid cheesers keeping the game close because they are able to make 3's so easily (even contested 3's). I usually beat these 3 pt cheesers, but sometimes it comes down to the final minutes when I should be blowing them out.

Also, I suspect that when a team is down in the fourth quarter their shooting abilities are raised to keep the game close. Because if I'm up in the fourth quarter, the online opponent will start jacking up 3's and hitting them at like 60-70 percent in the 4th quarter - shame on you EA for catering to these 3 point cheesers.

If people continually miss threes everyone will complain too... plus nba players hit contested shots and their are many runs in the nba. I get frustrated by that mo williams thing to though, especially when always playing good d. Just use the lakers though, those players usually can't stop kobe. Plus it's realistic to shooting percentages so what do you suggest they do? I suggest get that invisible forcefield when the player turbos and that might solve some problems. Other than that it is how the player chooses to play, if mo williams shot every shot in real life he'd score more too.. yet it isn't the way to win because he will get tired. Maybe that is the issue.. fatigue?

the problem is that in real life Mo Williams is taking mostly open 3's, but Live doesn't take into account if he's being guarded. sure, Mo Williams is a good shooter in real life, but if he has a defender on him he's not going to shoot a high percentage. Live does not factor in defender proximity or whether the shot is contested.

After playing online for a week now, it is obvious to me that the game is somewhat scripted - the game is too concerned with getting realistic stats...even if you are smothering a guy he will still hit the shot because the game wants to make his stats match up with his DNA...this is total garbage in my opinion, as it removes all skill from the game ( since all you have do is pick a team with a good shooter and jack up jumpers all day. you will probably do pretty well even if the other player is contesting your shots.)The game just wants its DNA stats to be right and it will do whatever it takes to get them...even if it means letting a ****ty cheeser make contested shots all night....trash, pure trash.

I don't really like your idea b/c i don't think you should have to cheese yourself just to beat a cheeser....anytime you move people out of their position and make crazy lineups thats cheese my dude.

lol. That's why when my opponents choose the CAVS I always quit. I don't play against the CAVS's cheesers anymore.

Another issue that I've noticed in live 10 is the terrible AI defense awareness. I don't know if EA did this on purpose but the transition defense is atrocious. If you're going to play ranked online, majority of the users exploit the transition. Since its now difficult to shoot J's especially 3's (except Mo Will & Nash), people especially the cheesers are exploiting the transition w/c leads to an easy lay-up or dunk. People always rush the ball after an inbound or defensive rebound to the otherside of the court to get an easy layup or dunk. And sometimes the canned animation suctions the defender while driving the lane w/c bails the cheesers for a freethrow even though you didn't press the block button to block the shot.

yo i play with my neighbor constantly and he usually picks the cavs and i usually beat him using the raptors....the trick is not to jump at him while shooting just tap the shot button...when i play defense on mo will he usually ends up making less that half of his shots.

I start rolling everytime I log on to this site and see dudes complaining now, when the b ball games first came out a lot of you guys praised Live simply because the end of game stats, this was by far the most hyped thing about the game, and look at yall now. Face it, the other game is more balanced and it is not close at all on any level, in 2k you have to be a great defender to have a good record in ranked games, looking at my online stats through 47 games my opponents fg% average is 41%, I have held more than 15 people under 35% shooting, this is not possible in Live, you want to know why, cause EVERY SINGLE GAME THE STATS WILL END UP SIMILAR TO THE REAL LIFE NUMBERS IN THE NBA, THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER DONE IN VIDEOGAMING, NO SINGLE PLAYER OR TEAM WILL SHOOT AROUND THE SAME PERCENTAGE EVERY SINGLE GAME, THAT IS NOT HOW STATS WORK OUT IN REAL LIFE AT ALL.

In Live head to head nothing matters but the DNA, reguardless of what, and you guys have the nerve to say this game is better than 2k, yall are crazy, seriously. If you need 20 specific things to make a good b ball game, Live cant compete with the other game in at least 17 of them, and when I say cant compete I mean that Live does not come close to 2k in everything that matters, and if you guys cant wake up and see things from a reality standpoint, you will forever be disappointed. Its one thing to be a fan of Live, cool, but when your fanship clouds reality then you make yourself look bad. Just my opinion, what do you guys think.
