Shot Alter Ability

Does anyone know for sure whether shot alter ability affects the offensive player's ability to alter his own shot to get a better look or the defensive player's ability to force the offensive player to alter his shot?

It's strictly a defensive slider.....

The Adjust Shot Percentage is the slider that will effect the offensive player
