Boxing Out

Is there a certain way to box out better in this game? Sometimes I do alright and other times the computer grabs everything! Anyone else having trouble with this?

Rebounding is one aspect of the game that needs work. You got guys down low boxing out just for the sake of boxing out and not following through actually trying to get the rebound. It definitely needs work. I'm speaking from strictly online though.

You have to do almost everything manually to be effective unless you're playing on superstar. The cpu practically plays for you on superstar. I still don't have a grasp at rebounding yet, but all I do is just switch as soon as the shot goes up and manually jump for it myself.

sometimes i run down there w/ the guy i contested the shot with. Or if im playing off ball i will run down there with him

get in front of your man and hold down triangle or Y (360)

when you're ready to jump, let the button go

I think the whole rebounding system is stiff and it sucks because its so poorly implemented but thats one way to box out

For some reason Im boxing out with r1 (ps3). And doing it well.
