I got the same problem Ehh and if Mike can bring all of that to 2K11 I'll give it a chance if not it will be one sad gaming season for me Lol.

FPS and action games can only get me so far b/c I dont play online that much I may have to change that this year if nothing changes on the bball front though.

For me and lots of others, too my friend.

Wangs experience n knowledge with live 10 control scheme is in Wangs head but it is not likely these could be realized with 2k's old built engine. And again i hope i'm wrong.

My prediction...I think Live got canned entirely. Midway is bankrupt so I would imagine the streetball contract is no longer valid. Remember they wanted to bring back the culture? We're getting NBA Street 11.

I wouldn't be totally shocked if NBA Jam is EA's flagship basketball title somewhere in the future. Especially if the Wii version is well received.

When it's all said and done though I'll probably be sticking with CH2K8 yet again next winter.
I have the same hope. NBA Live's control scheme was, to me, first rate. 2k's has been weak for a while. If they go to a NBA Live setup and use the RS for something besides the shot stick, I'm gonna be really happy. That, and framerate. NBA Live had a very few advantages over the other game, and if those strengths are incorporated into 2k, it's gonna be almost impossible to gain momentum in the war for B-Ball gaming.

Harsh words maybe, but after all talk and any other drama and inside goss that goes on it's the final product that counts.

As he said himself in the Live video's last year, no game has ever had so much control over the players and moves.

If he really is going on to bigger and better things he is going to have to work hard to get 2K to match that area at the very least.

And I haven't read the whole thread but if it
somebody up there looking at unit sales and how 2K is kicking their asses
was a direct quote, it's pretty immature of Beluba to say something like that in public. You never want to burn your bridges when leaving an employer and not to say that he'd ever want to join EA again but if 2K doesn't work out, you wonder if any other teams would take someone that bags out their employer so harshly.

                A bit disappointing really.

The control scheme and halfcourt game was top notch this year. To be honest, the game really didn't need to improve a whole lot for me to be happy with the next installment. I just hope that the guys left on the Live team don't totally screw this up. This was the first NBA Live game that I owned since Live 2005. I'd hate to see them regress after finally moving in a positive direction.

What happened to the other dude who used to post in here all the time? It was something like Stephensonmc, I forget his name exactly. Didn't he move to another game as well?

I am one of those people.

It wasn't just "one quote" though bro....he's come out with a dozen paragraphs of "the series is going nowhere, EA has no vision, they can't get it done there, they are not about SIM, they want to move in a new direction, they only care about sales, the series is stuck in a cycle with no future" etc etc etc.

I mean, if one of us posters had of written all that a week ago...we'd have had dozens of fellas here arguing against us / saying we were wrong.

But those quotes from a respected (former) lead producer are amazing. He couldn't have taken a bigger crap on the series if he'd tried.

I came here to post that I think EA is doing some things under cover with this game as time is going on and then I read this. I play pretty much exclusively online and I've been noticing some horrible things going on. Seems like giving up the rock downlow while doing a million moves is gone. Seems like there is some MAJOR "help me out CPU I'm the cheeser with the way better team, MAKE ME WIN" in effect. Then I come here and read this.

I have ZERO faith that Live 11 will take this game where it needs to go. Seems like they are prepping us for the arcade fest that's to come next year. 2K won't change a thing because they are making money hand over fist with NBA 2K so why rock the boat. SO my choices this year will be a pseudo sim game or a game that takes a major step back OR buy nothing and play older roster Live 10 game. I'm so disappointed by this news.

Flash is new to the whole media game...and I am guessing he just learnt a pretty big lesson. "Going on to bigger and better" when it's your competition is very strange vocab to use.

Unless of course Flash had no idea Beluba had joined the opposition.

Maybe this is a quiet attempt by him to say he knows what's going on is wrong and wishes EA would do the right thing and BEG this guy back and get Live 11 in the direction it needs to go

Thanks for posting CV as all of your posts are very informative and insightful.

Live10 makes sooo much sense to me now. If Mike left back in Oct like he said and joined 2k in Nov. You notice how both games changed? Live when 1st released was SIM! The 1st patch totally ruined the game and made it unplayable. The 2nd patch comes out and is basically the game when 1st released with a post button.

2k came out as a pretty good game but after the 1st HUGE patch the game became soooo much better and became sim again!

Just makes me wonder........With the inconsistencies with Live even this year, maybe Live doesn't know what they want to do! I for one am dissapointed and excited in the same breathe. I won't be buying Live next year PERIOD! 2k will be amazing i think.

Bet money ea will add espn and tnt into its broadcasting to lure people to buy the game but subtract something from the gameplay.
