I have not ran in to the 3 point pg shooters like i read about. Prolly cause it matches you up with your skill level. So I'm not on a high level. But what i like about this game is its not like on 2k where everyone just trys to drive and dunk!!! On live they can't do that because they contest shots. Some are fouls some are not.

Most players i played have to work the ball around to find a open shot. You got some that drives on most plays but it don't work on Live. I don't play online much on sports games cause of cheese. But its harder for them to cheese on live it seems. Like i said i never ran into someone that just shoots 3s with Mo williams and other pg's like i read.

Love this game. Online it is amazing. I never played a game this consistently throughout a year. I was a total 2k player up until this year. It is the best representation of basketball on the market. Sad that they fired Wang.

So i'm not alone! I Know Wang is gone but i hope they don't change much just add stuff to it. Fix the problems it does have. I'll be find if they just add more Sig moves and a post up game

I did notice most players i played use Zone most of the game. But that works for me cause i shoot alot of jumpers and open 3s when i have them. So that is working in my favor. I drive and kick or drive when i have a open lane. But if i got a open shot i take it

The pros really do out weigh the cons. I think it's funny to hear people complain about "glitchers" and all the "problems" with the game. First if you play randoms or guys who get their jollies by trying to get ranked in the top 100 you shouldn't complain about what you get. If you take like 2 sec to glance at the players HUB you can avoid most of those guys if you want to.

Secondly, sure the game isn't perfect. The 3 point shooting can be a litlle bit of a prob, there are WAY to many blocks and missed dunks and the spin moves need to be toned down but past that everything else is pretty solid. IMO it's the best hoops game to date.
Looking forward tp 11 even without Wang.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks Live 10 is way less prone to cheese online than 2k. It's not even close, in my opinion.

Granted, I've only played a few matches online because I lag and don't want to ruin people's experiences... But the few times I played, it was great. People actually took jump shots!!!!! That doesn't happen in 2k unless you agree before hand to "play sim."

heh...believe me - once you start playing opponents with higher skill levels you will be encountering the major cheesers. There are 2 types of cheesers in Live 10:

1.) 3 pt cheesers who jack up 3's with mo williams and steve nash all game long. I have come across some who use the cavs and they will put daniel gibson in the starting lineup and they will use gibson, parker, or mo williams to jack up cheap 3's all game long - unfortunately Live allows certain players to make terrible 3's even when there is defender right in front of them.

2.) the second type of cheeser is the "spin move abuser." these a-holes will control a guy like kobe or lebron and will do endless spin moves in the paint OVER AND OVER AND OVER...then once they get right under the hoop they shoot and will usually pick up a bunch cheap "auto-suction fouls in the paint" that Live is notorious for.

I have found that a good way to stop both types of cheesers is to hold down the the circle button (ps3) a lot on defense - when you hold down circle button, it will cause your players to double team whoever has the ball - this prevents spin move abusers from spinning constantly, and it stops inside shots.

for 3 pt cheesers, take control of your center to guard the paint, and allow the cpu to guard the ball handler...then just briefly hold the circle button when guarding the perimeter, this will cause your CPU teammate defender to get closer to the ball handler and prevent him from making cheap 3's.

I thought Sheed was just real fast

Seriously I don't see that much in this years game. In 08 and 09 the default fast break offense had the PF and C sprinting down the court without the user doing anything. I think we should give the dev team credit for fixing the default fast break offense and making it a little harder to connect on long passes.

I love the online play also, and have played atleast 200 games online. I have seen some people shoot 60 3's with Mo Williams, Durantula, or Stephen Curry; I've seen people drive baseline repeatedly and do that body contact floater or just draw cheap fouls, but overall it appears that most people enjoy playing realistic basketball.
The only things that really annoy me online is people that just try to push the ball as fast as they can and the are 1-on-5 and they still shoot the damn ball lol. Also, i hate when people try putting Kobe, Wade, Lebron, ect at PG. Lately I've also had problems with my SG constantly running to the opposite end of the court unless i control him. I don't know if the person i was playing was somehow doing it or if it was just a freak glitch in the game.

It certainly is fun to an extent. The lack of a post game hurts it for me though. It makes guys, like the cover boy for example, a non-factor.

Head to head this is even worse. There's no real reason to feed the ball down low. It makes this game end up being dictated by the best jump shooting team... and that's not the NBA today.

I never agreed with this. I think the control layout for the post game is a bit unfriendly: the hand you finish with, is always the same as your post turn, for example..and you can only do the shoulder shimmy move if you are away from your defender.

I had Carlos Boozer in a fantasy draft league and would do major work with him.

I used the Magic and Spurs alot in ranked games. Dwight and Duncan always did damage
