Should I buy this game?

I'm a LONG time 2k fan.. been playing it for years. This year i decided to go out on the limb and buy NCAA basketball 10 and i absolutely love it. I love how the CPU reacts to defense and AI offensive awareness. Love the drive and kick game and how i can't cheese the AI. So my question is , should i buy NBA Live 10? Is it anything like NCAA basketball 10 besides the graphics and controls? Thanks

From a pure fun factor, I say hellz yeah you should get it. I am a 2k guy as well, and I have both games. I just havn't been able to play a full game of 2k. It's way too easy to score in the paint and the FG%'s are insane. In Live, you really appreciate it when you are able to get into the paint, kind of like real life. I find Live to be very sim in this regard.

There will be some things you do not like. For example there are some very annoying animations. There's just something very fun about this game. I think most people who have the game will agree.

It's going to be interesting to see if Live'11 takes a even bigger step forward or backward. Looks like b-ball gamers will have another tough decision next year.

I just bought the game and i'm pretty satisfied with it , but one question... how do you play Season mode?

Bump , how do you start up a regular season mode? Not dynasty .. just a normal season ?

Hmm,there might not be a regular season mode this year. You may want to check out Live Season, but it's almost over now.
You should try franchise mode...it's not that intimidating, and is pretty easy to navigate around. I like it.

Can a bball game really not have Season mode?? O_O That was basically all i played in 2k10.. and all 2ks for that matter..lol Not having a regular season mode is reaaaally disappointing ..

i think if you start dynasty mode the first config screen lets you choose dynasty mode or season mode

But how do you play all games in a season ..instead of just games of the team you chose?

You can only paly games for your 1 team.

If you want to use all teams you might want to try Dynamic season if you want a full league flavor.

I'm a huge college basketball fan and own NCAA 10 and Live 10, and I gotta say that Live is a better game and probably more fun too.

Live's big edge over NCAA is the individualism of the players. Way more signature shots in Live, players play more like their real-life counterpart and the accessories/sneakers etc being accurate really helps too.

It gets old in NCAA seeing every PF have the same jumpshot, seeing PG's have 1 out of 3 jump shots, etc.

Live is just a blast to play, popped it in my PS3 for the first time in almost two months now that the college season is over and I forgot how much fun the game is and that it is relatively easily a better game than NCAA 10 in terms of gameplay.

nba live 10 is one hell of a game; you should def cop. ncaa 10 is a good game as well, but i only wish you could import draft classes to nba live 10.

Live is a lot of fun to play, but the Dynasty Mode is really lacking. Lineups and rotations are totally messed up and that really kills the mode, amongst other things.

But, if you just want to pick up the game here and there and have fun, Live is a great choice.
