Should Dev teams tell their fans what they want to work on?

I've been thinking about this lately and I feel that this would go a long way in helping the devs if they did this.

I know they may not want to put out in public that they are going to modify controls or bring in a new way of shooting. But wouldnt it help if they told the fans that for next year we are want to overhaul defense and we want your help.

This would be good for them because this way we would know what to look for when playing the game. Instead of making huge wishlists the dev team could give us the direction and then we can throw ideas out there.

If they did this they wouldnt have to tell us if what we are thinking is possible to do, but they could use it to experiment. This way they could get a better feel for what we think would be acceptable and what wouldn't.

Right now I feel there's a huge divide between what the fans want and what the devs are giving us. This could be a way to get the fans in line with how the dev team is thinking and it would give them respect form the fans too. Because it shows that they care enough about what we think that they allow us to have a say in the whole creative process.

TBH its not that EA need to ask the consumer what they want.. The gripes of the community are not unrealistic either. We have all been asking for the same stuff year after year its just they 1/ don't know how to fix the gripes or 2/ can't fix the gripes
My All-time Favourite players is order:

    2.Kevin Garnett
    3.Blake Griffin
    4.Ben Wallace
    5.Shawn Kemp

I agree, the game is 5 months out and we still dont know what the focus of the game will be. When Mike Wang left because he said they were going in a different direction, it alarmed a lot of people. Those people are still worried, now would be a good time for the devs to re-assure us consumers that the focus is still sim basketball and what we can expect

I understand what your saying BiggD but I need to rephrase my title b/c its not what I'm trying to say.

It should say "should dev teams tell their fans what their focus will be for next years game?"

That is if you want the game to be as good as 2k. Not sure that's happening though anytime soon. I'm a fan of both titles and have purchased both for the past 2 years.
