gotta ? i just looked at the new video posted today and was wandering how come when curry went to the rim kenyon didnt react to him scoring because kenyon just kept on focusing to the guy he was guarding, i was at least expecting him to turn around as soon as he passed him, to at least get ready to box out there wasnt any help defense

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
The easy answer is that the video is a "work in progress" and so it doesn't have all the features in the game. I'm also not sure when the video was captured, what build they used and what the guy who captured the video was doing at the time.gotta ? i just looked at the new video posted today and was wandering how come when curry went to the rim kenyon didnt react to him scoring because kenyon just kept on focusing to the guy he was guarding, i was at least expecting him to turn around as soon as he passed him, to at least get ready to box out there wasnt any help defense
However, if you point me to the exact time in the video you're referring to I might be able to give you a better answer.
There were a lot of little problems in the video

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
Tell me if im wrong but Another ? In Live 10 when a team is in the penalty shooting fouls r rewarded but when the offensive team is in the penalty and they commit a offensive foul the other team just takes out the ball no shots r rewardedComment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
No freethrows for offensive fouls when the team is in penalty situation. That's the NBA rule. Lose ball fouls and defensive fouls are the only fouls that will make your opponent go to the freethrow line when your team is in the penalty situation.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
Hey reanimator,
Regarding the post call action im wondering if maybe it would work that there is a certain time alotted to do extra stuff after the whistle is blown. Like a 5 sec time where u could get up and extra shot or dunk and if that time is up while your going for a dunk the player will bail out in the air like they do sometimes in real life, they'll just jump and keep the ball in their hands and give the ball to the ref when they land. And if you shoot once and shoot again you could get a delay of game call, and a tech(which i know wont be put in nba games but still) would be called for not passing the ball to the ref after one delay of game call already.Im Just sayin hahaComment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
I like your idea but they only call shooting fouls if it's in the act of shooting, so 5 seconds seems like a really long time. Maybe just until we move the left stick in a different direction or something. Hmm... I'm gonna ponder that for a little bit.Hey reanimator,

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
so i understand that the new physics engine will allow alot of random things to happen so that any moment can be a wow moment!
but how about injuries? based on physics, will players suffer substantial injuries for trying to do to much, landing funny( twisted ankles ect), or falling too hard? something to make people pay for mot being smart with their players or tha ball!"the good die young so ima need a thug wife.... im talkin his & her firearms, knowin my jewelry probably louder than a car alarm" -young jeezyComment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
We have fixed a large number of sliding issues. There are still a few left to tackle, but they are more targeted relating to animation blends for the most part.
The systemic stuff that has been around for a while and was in the earlier gameplay videos has been greatly improved.
Still more to do, but much better than even a week ago.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
I know what you mean, but no, we aren't determining injuries using the physics system.so i understand that the new physics engine will allow alot of random things to happen so that any moment can be a wow moment!

It's a great idea though and possibly something we could do in the future.Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
Lol i stopped payin attention 2 that after a while....but like u said, I do believe that injuries this yr will play an important role......especially if ur star player gets hurt for like a quarter or 2Comment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
Thanks for the last answer.
to remind you: did you talk to the shot guy about the signature arcs from last year, to verify if they are back or not?
i think this made shooting feel more personal to each player. taking sig shots even better.\
it added more visual flare. and most people didnt even noticeComment

Re: Ask the devs : Physics
I think I'm a bit confused now with the Physics as it pertains to the players.
I'm thinking stuff like Backbreaker/RDR/GTA4 where players never collide, alter layups, get fouled or get dunked on the same way twice. From the long explanation i read in the "random questions" thread that doesn't seem to be the case like NHL 11.
