I need help beating the Suns

I have a major question I play as the Lakers all the time and win against all of my friends except for 1 friend who plays as the Suns and he woops me by like 15 points or more is there any Tips I could get to know about the Suns and is there any better shots for the lakers to take and should I take more 3's in game because I only take like 2 3's a game this is for NBA live 10 PS3

I play with the Suns and have been very successful with them. However, if i do play against the Suns you need to match their 3 pointer/speed, i use Magic or Denver.

Tip: With Magic and use the '2-up' play with DHoward. (change and update your play in the settings - i think my team management). as you call the play, you'll have 2 screeners on top Rashard/Dwight with the 2 wing shooters on the corners. wait for the pick set by Howard, time it and use it..1st option is to drive to hole, if you're successful in this you've got your easy 2 already because the middle is open..if someone helps from the wing pass to the open player and you've got your open 3's (i usually have Reddick better shooter in 2 and Carter as 3). These are only the 1st 2 options, if you missed the drive in to the basket you should see Dwight cut and drive to the middle, hit him on stride and it's a dunk, if not if you get him the ball he's pretty much under the basket for easy 2, now my favorite last option is while Dwight is cutting to the basket you'll see Rashard flashing on top of the key for almost 100% of the time for an open 3 (if you've mastered his release point you're pretty much unbeatable). Also, try switching the line-ups a bit like Carter on point..imagine those open dunks in the middle after the pick instead of Jameer. This same play i use with the Suns and have Frye come up on top and Amare diving the middle with Hill/Richardson at the corner.

Live 10 is pretty enjoyable game and there are instances that seems the game controls each set plays to make the game match closer. (ie. you'll loose a pass on a perfectly timed pass, get an offensive pick etc) meaning freebies for the other team. This is a game of whoever panics first loses.

Also, you have to improve your defense. Learn you opponent and tendencies and adjust your defense to that. One example: If he's a one-on-one type player using Kobe,Lebron, Carmelo (crossover and spin move to death) then double team and have a 3rd guy protecting the basket (imagine forming a triangle with the 2 front defenders and you as the pivot near the basket). The third defender is usually off a guy least likely to score on his team, remember while double teaming you have to be aware if he has 3point shooters. the 3rd guy i use to cover the open shooters if not ready for block contest or rebound. This is usually effective late in the game when they pass the ball to their go to guy. there are more ways to defend for sure i just shared one for you.


if you really have to use the Lakers then i would learn and use the big men Gasol/Bynum inside and have Kobe come off screens/off ball switch. the only 3 pointers i see you can use is Artest and Fisher which are not as deadly as the teams above. enjoy Live 10!

I beat the suns with the warriors twice in the last 2 days and how i did it was simple. First off, the guy i was playing did nothing but dribble side to side with Nash and shoot three's...he was 9-13 at the end. He also tried to take advantage of Anthony Randolph not guarding Channing Frye on the perimeter with jacking up a bunch of three's. So with his perfect gameplan going, i kept my game simple. On makes i slowed the game down, and on misses i pushed the ball. I took advantage of Nash's bad defense with some iso's with Steph Curry. When he'd cheat over with Amare, i'd lob it up to Biedrins. I also used the pick-n-roll game with Anthony Morrow (guy is a crazy shooter in this game), and got a lot of off-ball cuts with Monta Ellis. The key is just not to fall into the 5 seconds or less offense, just slow it down and take advantage of your matchups
