NBA Elite Pros and Cons question

Hey guys, I am a casual basketball fan who has not played a b-ball game in quite some time. But I am looking to get back into b-ball video games this coming season.

In the earlier days, I rolled with NBA Live (now Elite) up until they had the version with the fun and challenging slam dunk contest. I can't recall the year.

Then I switched to the NBA2K series for it's better graphics and what I deemed to be smoother gameplay.

But I haven't played 2K since 2006, 2007.

So, my question to you - without making this a bash NBA2K thread - is what are the pros and cons of the NBA Elite/Live series? I know the next installment should have improvements and what not, but what are they? How are the graphics for the current version, etc? What is the gameplay like? What special features does it? What is the games strongest and weakest parts?

It's hard to say right now with such limited information being that both games are still in the development process. Just do what we are all doing and read up on the info that is currently available for each game. Also, check out the demo(s) once its released.

Yea man , def check out the demos because both games are going to be 2 seperate beasts this year.

If you have x360 or ps3 the best advice I can give you is wait for september and try out both demos.

agree with the previous posters. Do your research and try the demos out. Make your decision based off of all of that.

Hey, thats around the same exact time I switched over. I loved Live until I decided to give 2k a try, then stuck with it ever since. Now I'm kind of getting tired of 2k and hoping to get a real solid game with Elite 11.
