New Live 2004 pics at Gamepro.com featuring mini NBA players

Gamepro.com posted some new XBox and PS2 NBA Live 2004 screens today (8/20) and I must say I think they look horrible.

I thought the proportions of the court to player were off in NBA 2K3 last year, but Live 2004 looks ridiculous! Just look how high some of those players are in the air next to the rim, and how the three point line looks like it's only 20 feet away. Not lookin' too good at this point, especially since Live 2003 was pretty good.

The pics would be a lot better if they were more clearer. But they do look ok. I still don't like how EA makes they nets so thick.

There's one particular shot from the XBox version that shows K-Mart shooting a freethrow...

Look at Tim Duncan in there. That's a 7' footer...??

Other than that, good to see that Live has improved player faces and arenas. Maybe they're releasing all these really bad screenshots of a fake game they're making so the competition won't know what hit 'em and the REAL game looks great. I don't know how else to explain the step down in graphics from Live '03 to '04.

BTW, I'm not a Live *****, I actually play it more than NBA 2K3 now. Having it on the PC is cool 'cause you get to add in all these shoes and faces and jerseys and other things like that. Blah.
