    Increasing Model Scaling

EA is usually penalized for the game being not as smooth and not looking not as good as 2k which to some extent is true.... 2k is definately smoother but as far as graphics go they're neck and neck at least. You see the reason why 2k LOOKS so much better is because we can actually see all the details while playing the game while EA player models arent as big so it doesnt look as great as they should so i suggest that EA just increases the size of the player models so the details can be better shown just look at this:
    <object width="1280" height="745"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4_5grom1jCw?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4_5grom1jCw?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="1280" height="745"></embed></object>

    compared to
    <object width="1280" height="745"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TVYT_nYjoJk?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TVYT_nYjoJk?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="1280" height="745"></embed></object>

The second video LOOKS much better due to the fact that the players seem bigger and you can see all the detail on the players...

For some reason, players in the HORNETS game look so ugly, but the players in the MAGIC game are alright, I don't understand why...maybe is the camera or something???

It's the camera(in game). It's obviously zoomed in for the Magic vs Heat video.

I wouldn't suggest they do anything with the player models, they look fine to me. Just zoom the camera in if you want to see more detail.

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder(lol), but I keep seeing some of you guys say this and it really baffles me.

What about Live '10 makes it look better? In comparison, '10 looks extremely cartoony to me.

^^^^This is the first time i have seen live10 gameplay since looking at elites. Before i also thought the players closely resembled each other in both games with a few improvements but after looking at this vid the players are cartoonish. The duller look elite has actually makes them look better

Don't see why yall say Elite's graphics are on par with Live or 2k. Although it doesn't look glossy like last year, it just looks too dull. Also the player jerseys and shoes are awful imo. The jerseys look painted, not to mention they don't move correctly, and all the players feet a box-like. Maybe the demo will change my mind.

yeah i had tread on this about a week ago where i asked why in all the dev clips and videos the graphics always look differnent, and Eanimator hit me back and said that it had something to do with lighting in specific arenas and such.

                      Re: Increasing Model Scaling

i remember a lot of people last year complaining about the look of live. They thought it was too colorful, too cartoony, etc. Now that those elements have been reduced, it's too dull, not bright enough, etc etc.

                      Can't win for losing.

Personally, I thought the hyper-colorful style of 10 was okay, but I prefer the more realistic coloring in 11.

So are there two different broadcast camera settings. In those videos the camera is pulled back in the Hornets and clippers game, far more than the magic and heat game. I like the zoomed in look a lot better. hopefuly is not because of the arena.
I can only keep it real.

tell you the truth, elite has had to take the back seat for the last few years when it came to graphics in my opinion. They had the edge when they first introduced live to the next gen consoles, but because other games, have made such a huge and impression leap in graphics, ea doesnt hold that title anymore.

It doesn't matter which camera you're looking from, the NBA Elite player models are all too skinny. Check out solid guys like okafor, or almost chubbier/ thicker guys like Felton, shaq etc. The definitely do not look like their real life counterparts unless you're zoomed right and can see their face properly.

The zoomed in look is much much better IMO. I Wish they would incorporate this or even the ability to adjust your own camera so it could be as far back or as zoomed in as you like.
