Walmart release?

I seen in the 2k thread about talks of 2k having a midnight release.

I live in a small town and only major games like gta, rdr, and madden get midnight release in the only gamestop near me. Ncaa didnt even have enough pre orders to get one

with that said i have not got a game from walmart in a while so does anyone know how walmart works as far as putting out games. I have heard that people got a game from walmart at midnight though

so do they work like gamestop and have to have a certain amount of pre orders to put it out at midnight, or puts every game out at midnight anyway?

Walmart will put the game out at mid night if they have it. They usually only have the bigger games at midnight. But last year they had both 2k and Live at midnight.

So probably calling to see if they have it would be the only way to tell without making a blank trip huh?

Yeah, calling would probably be the best idea, but if your Walmart is a supercenter that stays open 24hrs then I'm pretty sure they will have it at midnight.

Hey man. This not riding you, but I remember you saying you normally get both games anyway, so why don't you get Elite when you pick up 2K. If there's a midnighter for one, I don't see why you can't get the other as well. Or was I wrong and confusing you for someone else?

yea i did say i normally get both. That does not mean i get them both at the same time even though i have before.

If i do this year i still dont know if its going to be a midnight release for 2k here. Like i said this is a small town. Every other gamestop around me but not necessarily close to me had a midnight release for ncaa but mines didnt. That shows you how small it is.

Also everytime we have had a midnight release for a game i was under the impression from what i get told by the employees at gamestop is that you can only pick up the game they are having the midnight release for

24 hour walmarts are a good bet to have the game. Even if it isn't a planned midnight release they are usually stocking for the next day so the game should be there. Just politely ask someone back there to snatch it for you.

I have done that a few times. They just reach in the box and bam your good to go.

I'm going to get my game from Wal-Mart but I don't think I'll be going to the midnight release. Most people go to places like Gamestop so I think it will be available until then.
