A review of Elite's demo

Hey I found a review of Elite on another website, I think what EA is trying to do is refreshing. Everything's been the same for a long time. I agree that graphically its not up to par with 2k, but, there are still a lot of good things going on here. I feel like people have a mandate to bash EA, but, have a open mind, because you could be missing out on a very fun experience.

To be honest this game despite the strange animations is first Bb game where I can't predict what's going to happen, I had so much fun, a lot of woooow moments, day 1 for me great job EA

LMFAO at you guys. its not basketball. not saying 2k is the answer but defently isnt. Next year I guess. Wasnt they shotting for 90 in the review scores for the 3 year plan.

LOL, than what is it rugby? Are you telling me there isn't anything at all good about this game? I would have preferred they built off of Live 10, because that game was some signature pieces away from being a great experience, but, there are some good things going on into elite. I think its cool, not great by any means but its a start.

Not enough for me to pay full price or waste a DL on. The very FEW pros about this demo is outweighed by the cons. Im only 24 and I dont have a large variety of games I play. THeres only two games I anticipate every year and thats the basketball titles. Ive been playing since live 95(THREEEEE I loved that part) and this is the worst display of basketball. A good basketball title usually last me about 10 months of gameing. I spent all day yesterday and a good portion of the today playing this. I just cant justify at even at half price. I wish Stern was more involved in how these games represented basketball. 410 from me and thats being generous.

Please understand this has nothing to do with 2k games.

Yeah my moto is you have to spend money to make money. I dont think the full retail can offer a different experience then the demo. As far as Im concerned Elites control is nothing but taking LONG ANIMATIONS and making them SHORT animations. Its drastically stripped down version of the past and now is a POS. Live 10 was a great core and could have built off of that. The only way I can truly see this working is to either take a 2year development plan or completely rebuild the engine from scratch. Option 2 probably wont happen but option 1 is there best chance. Or even a delay of the game. Swallow the pride and go back to the drawing board.

No game will ever be perfect. But im no sheep and dont buy into EAs 3 year plan. I dont want to go back and forth and your opinion is your opinion. But when Live faithfuls/hardcore fans are completely dissatisfied, thats usually not a good thing.

I was a big supporter of a game called APB and recommended it to every PC gamer I knew. I defended them and everything but in the end it was all talk. After 3 months the game was shut down and company lost plenty of money. Now they had a 2-3 year plan just like any other MMO. When products are all flash/gimmicks they can bring in a crowd but with no substance, everything can turn bad in a heart beat. I can show my support by not buying this product and ill check when its year 2.

Isnt this plan like the 4th 3year plan since Next-gen released?

I read your comments on twitter and I agree with everything you say this game is special once you dig deep enough, if the animations and the first look are everything for you, just don't buy the game meechie and i will have fun playing it.

Yeah and how many year 1's have we been through now on Next Gen?

At some point you don't think that gets old and tiring...I used to say that about Live 07 give it time it's year 1



Everything keeps getting reset so technically this isn't no year 1 IMO....this is year 5
