So rEA are you saying there could be copies out there?? and if there are is there any type of agreement policy saying retailers have to send it back? I ask because I called my buddy who happens to be manager at gamestop, he says they didnt recieve any at store, but he's calling his guy at the distribution center for gamestop to see if they recieved a shipment of Elite and if there isnt a policy in place, he's gonna try and snag couple copies for him and I.

All copies will be officially returned to EA and destroyed or whatever.

But there are so many in existence I wouldn't be surprised if someone grabs a copy.

That would probably be illegal and is not anything EA would endorse, but personally I wouldn't be surprised to see something pop up on the black market.

You can be sure EA will do everything it can to keep that from happening though.

Add me to the confused...how does a dev not have a copy of the game?

ReAnimator mentioned the other day also that he'd hardly ever played a game of USER v CPU either.....................did anyone even play the game v the CPU? Maybe that's why they are so shocked by all the negative feedback...they've been enjoying it v each other, whilst the DEMO dumped all of us right in against a CPU doing weird / stupid / crazy stuff non stop.

Surely someone there had the responsibility to sit down and play the CPU AI non stop for weeks looking for flaws?

That is a "crime and a shame" if those guys weren't running tests on the AI.

rEA, responding to your response from my quote (sorry at work on OS moble so cant put quote up) I just want a copy to play. My buddy that works at gamestop and I both loved the demo, I believe in the numorus messeges and posts of mine you could have figured it out. I wanted to see a finished product and where you guys were headed with the game. How can you pull the plug on 5 min demo and alot of fanboys complaining about the game one week before release? I am still disapointed and I hope you guys can blow us all away with what ever it is that comes out next.

I feel the same way. On the plus side we'll have time to make it even better, but I do still think it was a great game that people would have appreciated.

That wasn't enough though, EA wants the relaunch to dominate and blow people away.

We clearly didn't accomplish that.

If we get enough time I know for sure we'll be able to accomplish that goal.

Master the airs. That guy Apex is right. The best thing about Elite was the layup. Whenever else a a player left the ground it was nothing special or just cringe worthy. Dunking, rebounding, shot contesting, and blocking needs to catchup with layups. Has to be camera relative too.

I just feel like with every year I get bored with 2K's games way to quick. Why bury them next to E.T. in some land fill. Let us...the gamers who want a copy still purchase one from EA. I dont care if there wont be any online support or anything for it. I loved the direction the game was headed and would have played the Sh*t out of it regardless of the CPU AI issues. SO rEA , what kinda pull do you have...explain this to your higher ups that there are still people interested getting this game. I Dont wanna have to wait till playoff time to play a new basketball game. I also dont want to see your NBA series go the same route your college series went.

You have to feel for the cats that enjoyed Elite's gameplay and overall product. To the people who still wanted elite to come out, it's a messed up situation. With that being said, Elite just isn't ready for "Prime Time". Going into the 5th year of next gen gaming, Elite needs a ton of work and polish.

Oldest trick in the book. Elite can't compete with 2k so instead of releasing it at the same time,EA will release it close to the Playoffs with no competition in sight..

If we even get it at all this basketball season! after I made my last post I relized that they just stated delayed untill 2011...that could be Oct 4th 2011 for NBA Elite 12.

Bro think about what you are saying. Elite is losing money off this because they have to buy back disked that was shipped out. They labeled, and packaged the games already so that makes no sense.

Now if they release around the time you are talking about then the benefits of that would be no other game being released at the time but there is still competition because there is still another game out there.
