I like what they tried with the total control. I hope they don't scrape that idea.

I liked the total control, but the animations were terrible! and it definately needs signature moves and dribbles back!

If someone genuinely liked the game, then fine, I don't really care, that's their personal preference, whatever.

That being said, anyone who would have purchased this game over another just because "they rub me the wrong way" is being silly. If the game is good, it's good. If it's bad, it's bad. Don't let bias or brand loyalty get in the way of you enjoying a good game.

By EA Sports standard poor sales are still very profitable. Live 10 sold over a million and they were freaking out. NCAA basketball sold half a million. I dont see your point. Both games were very profitable. Why should anyone care how an EA Sports game sells? They aren't going anywhere unless another strong competitor emerges.

I'll admit that I am amazed at the 4 people who would buy the game just out of loyalty or because Take Two rubs them the wrong way but thats human nature. Humans never cease to amaze me.
They should care because the are a business and that's their motto. It they never cared, they would have kept live 10 and add on to it. Their whole revamp process has been because they cared enough to make profits and since they care..you have to care somewhat.

              Its a free market!

I don't know many games that survive off cult followings. Well, games yes. Series? NO.

This sorta reminds of people still buying SUVs in 2010...Come on dude! SMH. "Yeah, If I can afford it, I can buy it" poisonous attitude isn't always good as a whole.

Why would anyone pay 200+ for scuffed up Jordans? thats the same equation I bring to elite.

I'm not even 100 sim. I can feel live's gameplay. I have done in the past. I like a game to have any style I want to play. If I want to cheese, I can cheese. If i want to sim, I can sim. If I want to screw around and arcade, I can do so.

That's why I liked elite, but I'm not going to pay almost 70s dollars for a potential product thats has no polish...

Damn low by EA's standards but still profitable. This isn't Backbreaker here. Thats a game that is hurting for sales and the fans have a right to be concerned.

I'm not talking about EA I'm talking about people that liked Elite.

A series can survive off of a cult followings. What doesnt survive is anything that goes over budget. Soemthing like Avernum or Geneforge can do well for years with a small following because its like three people making them. Check this out http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/

Nope, but thanks for the link. I don't think EA can take the cult following act with sports games..

NBA:The life was fun, I love that game..and it was canceled

I wonder if visual concepts was bought by EA, nothing changed but ownership would the ea faithfuls still buy elite? Or not? based on "2k's arrogance" vibe.
