Now that Elite is delayed, what do you want fixed?

The unrealistic dunks by players.
Rebounding animations
Contact on a shot in the lane animation.
Graphics. (They seemed to have dumbed them down to get that ceramic look away. Now it looks like a PS2 game.)
That also goes with player models..LeBron doesn't look like LeBron on the court.


Fix these things for me and then next year focus everything on Dynasty/Become Legendary and I'll buy that game.

1. first foot planting no more ice skating in basketball, the ice skating was gone in nba live 10.
2. making the foot planting on dunks and alley-oop look realistic. ex. you have the alley-oop person jump way to close make it to were he needs a running start like in real life unless your a center lol.
3.the stealing is great in the elite 11 demo, but can you make a steal realistic steal animation from behind the player.
4.the graphics needs to at least look like Live 10 or better of course lol we can always go better.
5.and can you make the announcers bring the same excitement as the crowd does.
6.please bring back were you can sim through a game in Dynasty Mode and watch the game by the quarter stats and if you want to join in you can.
7.can you make the skill shot stick were some people not all can release there shot early or late but the percentage of the shot going in can be lower. (fisher remember .4 quick release lol and kobe sometime holds his shot so he wont get blocked)
8.bring turbo back lol cause we all need it for a change of speeds on the defender.
9.i dont know if you have this already but were we can have a player come off a screen or a double sceen make this option for us to use on our player as well when were playing become legendary cause will be on player lock.
10.and last but not least MORE signature moves, dunking, layups,dribbling moves,emotions.

i hope all of me ideas will help bring Live/Elite back, so let me know what you guys thing.

I'm fine without turbo as long as they add a full sprint animation for fast breaks.
Definitely more sigs, especially post sigs.
I want Shag too have his own moves so he isn't doing fade aways and Kobe to have his patented turn around. Dirk kicking his leg up, KG, Lebron, Melo...... and so on , and so on......

I just hope a couple months is enough time to add more animations.

Need to polish the game and have smoother tranisitions between animations. Need to make the game look realistic all-round by eliminating the quirky, robotic animations. And also change your sliders for your game.

As long as there aren't any basketball minded people developing the game, I wouldn't expect much. Grab a port from NBA Live 10 and go from there. EA should add real time physics from 10 much like NHL did with 11.

I'm assuming that EA somehow got messages from people that played 2K10 and complain about a lack of control in their game and thought it was for them.

Who exactly wanted this total control? If they were going to incorporate RTP, don't strip the game completely naked.

A basketball minded person needs to be over the developers shoulders. I don't know what Kevin Durant and Brandon Jennings was doing during his time with EA. They obviously didn't contribute too much based on that demo.

- Move pass back to A (X) button and bring back turbo

- Fix verticals and player velocity in air

- Add foot-planting and momentum

- Slow down player movement, speed, agility, etc.

- Find a way to penalize ball-handlers for performing an excess number of crossovers in succession

- Create position specific animation packages for lay-ups, dunks, gathers, dribble moves, etc. Big men, wing players and guards will have their own set of appropriate packages

- Add signature animation packages, or at the very least, have multiple generic packages. This way at least players will be differentiated even if the animations aren't player specific

- Smoothen out animations overall

- Fix in air collisions. Make them look natural and realistic.

- Fix AI (including CPU teammates). This needs a lot of work

- Animation Quality
- Animation Variation
- Contextual Animation
- Player Specific Animation (these don't all have to be signature animations, just large libraries of varied generic animation types that are applied appropriately to the right players)
- Better collisions with more realistic results, in air or on the ground
- Improved lighting on players
- Improved player models (please, no stick figures and skinny legs)
- Improved player model variation
- Keep the control from the Elite, but balance it a bit better (by including shot gathers and gathers for blocks etc) to bring back an element of timing Vs full control
- Limit players abilities to reflect real life results. Full control? Yes, but attempting a fade-away with Shaq should result in a different contextual animation and a poor result
- Improved AI logic for the post game
- Either bring back turbo or some sort of small,brief acceleration device.
- Verticals.......
- More rebounding variety, not all jumping
- Better TV style presentation for pre-game, half time

I'm sure there's a tonne more, but for game-play in general, animation quality, realistic animation, player specific animation are huge. Graphics could do with a huge boost also (could easily be fixed with improved player lighting and sweat implementation to show definition and thicker player models).

Great Thread -- I actually was going to start one like this after news about Elite 11 being delayed but didn't get around to doing it.

*** Mods, could we get this stickied so as to bring it to the attention of the EA/NBA Elite 11 folks?

I don't have many posts but i've been reading these NBA Live/Elite posts for a few years now and usually just request only 3 things. These are the 3 things that I am listing below which would guarantee a purchase from me:

1) Give the ability to play less than 82 games(29, 58, etc.) -- This is very important for individuals like me who cannot play all 82 games. Plus I've been asking for this feature for at least 2 years.

2) Include in-game/real time injuries -- This is necessary for the realism factor. I've been asking for this for at least 2 years also.

3) Have the rookies names(for future years in Dynasty mode) mentioned by the announcers(instead of a #). I believe this was somewhat implemented in NBA Live 10, but there were still some computer-generated rookies that only had their # mentioned by the announcers instead of their name.

*** I wanted to also point out that all EA has to do is modify NBA Live 10 to include the above features and I would buy NBA Elite 11 for $60 with only the new features being the ones mentioned above.

One of the dev was steve nash back up in fiba, and its funny even he admited he was skeptical at first of the new direction EA was going with Live/Elite. At the end of the day the whole revamping thing was a bad idea.

ANIMATIONS, ANIMATIONS, ANIMATIONS...everything about them need to be greatly improved.

For as long as I can remember, the live series always had the worst animations out of all the sports games. Although, this year takes it to a whole new low.
