NBA Live 11 (10) update news from email

I emailed EA because I have emailed before about the NHL series and their responses are usually pretty accurate and quick.

I emailed them just to find out when it will be updated and if we have to download any new dna and if they will patch jerseys, logos, etc:

they said you do not need to download new dna unless you didnt purchase dna for 20010. in this case free dna will be provided to you for download. As far as roster updates they said they are aiming to have one out by mid November. As of now no patches for nba live 10 are planned. just the roster updates. the 2011 season schedule will also not be reflected in live 10 only rosters.

LOL, mid November. What a FAIL. They could have (and should have) had it out today and they can't even get that right.

mid november thats not kool, i still hope i own live 10 by then, the way things are looking now i am in hoops heaven at the moment.

but a roster update without a better ratings logic or patch still leaves us live diehards with a game with broken logic and crap post game its just not worth the headache anymore.....

No chance IMO that they are going to update the post game or anything else. Best we can hope for is new DNA, rookies, and players on the right teams.

From the response, it seems to me like they are still plan on releasing Elite 11. Here is why, the game itself already exists in disc format, which means they already spent resources to getting it gold. So the best way to save money, is to hold off the release and work on major patches. So when you give the go ahead to release the game, the patches will be ready day one to fix the problems associated with the game. I just can't see EA spending the resources and just scrap the game. Unless they feel: 1).The problems with the game can't be fix via patches. 2).By releasing the game even w/ fixes, they believe that it will hurt their brand and/or Elite 12.

I said this in another thread but I'll repeat it here. Regarding the roster update, they will begin once the regular season kicks off as that's how it's always been done in previous years. Regarding anything else that may come with updates to NBA LIVE 10 we will be sure to let you know what will be happening with that.

this is ridiculous

i got 2k11 this morning and the more i keep playing the more im liking it

unless money is a roadblock or logistically unacceptable to people, the longer ea waits, the more people will buy the 2k11 game like i did, and realize its not a bad game at all, in fact its a pretty gam good game, but im holding on to my live10 and really hoping the update comes out at least by opening day or sooner
