Re: Did they motion capture vince for Live

I am a die hard fan of the 2k series, never liked Live... but even I can admit that Live has smoother animations. While I do think the new crossover moves may put ESPN over the top on selection of animations, Live just plays a lot smoother. ESPN does have the crown when it comes to polys, player models, etc. But animation? We'll have to wait and see how it plays out this time. From the vids, ESPN has improved vastly in the animation department... but it still has that stiff, robotic look not uncommonly associated with all NBA2k games.

And you're talking about the ball matching up with the body? Have you even PLAYED any of the NBA2k games? More often than not, the ball never touches baller's hands. And the ball itself... it looks like an orange softball it's so small relative to the player sizes sometimes.

From your posts, Admiral, I can tell already that you're a pompous, seriously deluded 2k [censored you naughty boy]. I mean, I'm 2k-lover/Live ***** as much as the next guy, but your arguments are just irrational and give us a bad name.

Well don't accuse me when you don't know what I am talking about, or even know me. I buy EA games... and even like a few things about Live but my opinions are not shallow, nor are they without substance.

And I am not just talking about bball games here, but video gaming in general.
Do you have a clue? The mo-cap 'balls' I refer to are the round ball like objects that track the animation data digitally...the things on those black motion capture suits that the actors wear. I'm not going to bother explaining any more, but if you know a thing about them and video games (in this case, the lack of detail in Live's models, joints, limbs etc) you wouldn't have to think twice about my original comment.
