Calling Cleveland fans "trash" is an ignorant statement. Don't lump all of us into fans who burn jerseys. But I guess its cool to be a Cleveland haters these days.

I guess he meant some of them, the extremist guys who burnt the jerseys for example, not every Cleveland fan.

That's exactly what I meant. Anybody that burns a jersey in a street is who I'm talking about. Sorry it sounds so general but I just get worked up when I see people act like such fools over things that very honestly don't matter.
I'm sure most of the people in Cleveland are top notch. There's just always some idiots out there who give a group a bad name. It' kind of like when there is a flood or something in a town and CNN goes out of it's way to find the guy wearing the "Who Farted?" cap to interview.

Changing the name back to NBA Live would bring more people back than having LBJ on the cover.

That would be a great place to start. I am amazed that people base their purchase decisions based upon who/what is on the cover.

Alright, my bad then. I have seen it before where its just Cleveland hate in general. I do agree that the people who were burning jerseys were classless. Made the real Cleveland fans look like idiots. Ill admit that when Lebron left I was very angry and hurt, but didn't destroy anything. I was pretty much over it in a week. And besides, we got Kyre Irving now.

It wouldn't hurt to have Lebron James on the cover but it wouldn't help that much it seems. As popular as Lebron is I don't think most fans would want to see him there. I for one don't mind but a majority of fans were hoping for the Heat to lose and James was the biggest target out of the Heat. I personally think the cover for any sports game should have more than one person on the cover.

This series has been damaged far beyond someone on the cover

At this point the bar has been set high in basketball gaming and bringing in more gimmicks will do nothing more than keep people away

I hope EA isnt thinking this is what will get them back into people's homes because it would be way off the mark, again

Well if they actually create a great game then yea I think this could help out, but like everybody has been saying the game itself has to be awesome too.

A guy on the cover will not warrant me spending 60+ dollars for a game. The bar is set and EA will have almost 3 years to complete this game. If they do not put out an outstanding game you might as well spark up the funeral music.

Unfortunately that is not the case, if I recall correctly even before it was official announced that Live/Elite would not be released this year their was someone within EA or someone will informed made a statement that they had not assigned anyone to work on the game as yet so not to get our hopes up of a game coming out this year which turned out to be the case, so people expecting to see a game with 3 years of innovation and development are just fooling themselves.

To me, they didn't need to do something drastic. Live 10 was really on to something. I still think this game had the best controls in current-gen basketball games. All that was needed was a little tweaking. Remove those awful two-man canned animations and the barbarian-like collisions in the paint, and you could have my $60. Oh, and a deeper and more immersive franchise mode.

People are criticizing Romo for being a choke artist like Lebron...their not even defending Lebron for being a choke artist anymore, so really why would the most hated person in the league even get a cover?

I'LL NEVER BUY A GAME BECAUSE OF A COVER LOL. they gonna need wayyyyyyyy more than a cover guy, u could put santa on 2k's cover and i'd buy it, because of the gameplay and modes and player model.

I like the idea of James on the cover of EA basketball but dont think it will do much in terms of making any kind of dent to 2K

Only thing that will make a dent will be bringing back a great playing game of basketball.

Which I think they will but cannot say when.
