    Draft Question

I am seriously considering getting this game. However, one little feature I am wondering about, and this is nothing big, is the customization of rookies in the draft. I have NFL 2K3 and I love how I can customize some of the rookies and change their names to that of myself, my friends, etc. I know it may seem stupid but I just like putting us in their and watching how our NFL careers develop either on or independent of my Franchise. Can you something similar to this in NBA Live 2004? Also, is there any rookie scouting at all? From the videos I've seen (few) it seems as if it goes straight to the draft. Thanks in advance.

Not that i know of, in one of the recent Live videos in the OS preview, there is an option to generate rookies, or import them, you could always create yourselfs in the college game and import them i guess, that way you can watch yourself develop

I think there was some very poor scouting feature last year, but I could be wrong.

This has my worried a little too. I didn't see anything on rookie scouting in the video steve posted. hopefully there's something there, even if it is limited. ESPN has an in depth scouting system where it costs you money to scout, it's pretty well done, if you've got a top pick you'll definitely want to spend alittle more time and money scouting out the players than if you're in the 20s. but Live's offseason stuff does look pretty nice, i really love the "refuse to sign" thing in re-signing, that's somethign i've wanted to see in a dynasty mode for a while now, good job EA!
