Interesting read. I know that this game is deserveres at least a rental. But the one thing that bothers me that he pointed out is that a player on fastbreaks stops and turns around to get the pass, which is something that plagued the 2K series a couple years ago. Otherwise, the game sounds good.

i second that. what the hell are they talkin' about? the animation being a bit quirky and occassional stops are not game killers for me. LIVE2000 for the pc had some problems but was the best bb sim ever, possibly til' now?....
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

"While the development team has added some extra cutscenes to illustrate major team milestones or transactions, there could have been a lot more improvement in franchise mode, which still feels somewhat thin. The rookie draft, for example, is one of the most exciting and interesting aspects of the real-life NBA. However, in NBA Live 2004, you're given very little information about any of the rookies that you would need to make an informed decision on whom to draft. Aside from position, size, and some vague ratings for players as either first- or second-round caliber, you're given no specific clues about any player's abilities, like shooting, defending, speed, and/or other relevant skills."

I thought the dynasty was supposed to be improved.

"While it will mostly appeal to those who want a game with an arcade slant, NBA Live 2004 makes a worthy addition to any basketball fan's collection."

This makes it sound the same as last year.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

8.3 review? Sounds like the same score every year for Live! Guess there is no reason to trust them and be a fool yet again. No buy for me unless more reviews come out that just chump this one. Everything sounds like I expected though. Subpar as usual!
