In terms of making a great product thus forcing EA to not coast and step up to the plate. In the end with all the competition the consumer is the real winner. I look foward to playing Live and ESPN B-Ball this year. Already the past 3 months have been amazing for sport gamers .... ESPN Football, ESPN Hockey, NHL 2004, NBA Live 2004, NHL Hitz, Tiger Woods 2004, Madden 2004, NCAA 2004, etc

Very true, sometimes we lose sight of this in our zeal to bash the perceived "opposition"(Segs vs. EA). More quality titles = more gaming bliss for Terence.

No, I would say 989 and other devlopers made EA sit up and take notice in the late 90's. But I would agree that VC is bitch slapping EA this year..
