I dont know about buying those other brands, but if you go to edit players, you can select different brands of shoes for players. I did notice that certain players who have shoe contracts (like Kobe) can only wear that brand of shoe.

Yeah, I also noticed that with Ray Allen. I really like how you can choose different shoes for when you're playing at home/away. Good touch.
