running away from the basket

Anybody else notice that you cannot run away from the basket? The man with the ball always does this slow crouch back away, but you cannot run in the other direction. Is it just me or is this some kind of setting? It does the same thing in practice mode. I guess I'll get used to it, but it seems awfully strange.

In the game the players will usually face the basket because the basket is the focal point at all times. In last yeas game if u tried to back away from the basket u would be facing the opposite direction and always had to make a turn around jumper or something. In this years version the player stays square to the basket as they do in real life.
