    EA Live Bug List and other problems...

    Okay, was pretty psyched to try this game, not because I'm a Live fan, cause I'm definately not, but I'm a huge basketball fan, so much so that I even tried NBA Jam 2004 Have to do something until the season starts I guess. Anyways, trying to put my biased opinions aside, and just list bugs found in this game so far, please feel free to add more. As for the game itself, it is a vast

    Bugs
    ====
    Slow Motion
    - Choppy framerates that actually affect the game, but just barely not enough to ruin the game. To the person who said that it doesn't happen if you put it on HD, well, it still slows down, disc or no disc.

    The "FA BUG"
    - http://forums.operationsports.com/ub...art=1&vc=1

    Inbounding
    - Can call up icons, but can't pass with it, and if you pass normally, most likely it'll get stolen.

    Backcourt Violation
    - Other team knocks my ball behind the backcourt, I retrieve it and called for backcourt violation

    No backboard bug
    - I can be behind the basket, and my player will dunk the ball through the backboard from behind until it magically goes through the glass

    Just bugging me bugs:
    =====================
    NHL bug
    - Players skate like crazy, you can even make them moonwalk!

    Indoor thunder bug
    - WTF is with the sound after each dunk?

    Everyone's TMac bug
    - The Pro Hop makes everyone able to get to the basket at will, even Rick Brunson.

    That ain't Vince bug
    - That sure isn't VC on the disc label... if you can't get the graphics right just use a real picture damnit! :P

    With inbouding, it's a special section in the manuel, i think you bring up passing icons, press who you want to pass to, then press the pass button(A on xbox) and it goes to the guy who's icon you pressed, i didn't read the manual(just caught a glimpse of it) but i think this is how it's done, not 100% sure though. haven't played enough to comment on the others though, i did have fun when I did play, for every list of bugs there should be 10 lists 10 times longer of things they got right in this game....

          don't know about 10 times the things they got right in this game, but it is 10 times better than last year's, and I'm bball hungy since the season's not here yet, so I'm playing it until something else proves to be better.

                Re: EA Live Bug List and other problems...

                the whole deal with inbounding is not a bug.

                Instead EA did the single best thing ever here.

                Instead of hoping to find someone to pass the ball to, you can bring up the icons, select the player you want to CONTROL, and then bring him into position to receive the pass. You dont just pass it to the icon press, but can position the player to receive the pass.

                You won't get picked off if you just move your player into position.

                This helps prevent bad passes on Full Court Presses, and helps in big pressure moments (read: seconds left in the game) when you are inbounding the ball and looking for your star player.

                This is not a bug. This is a new addition. One, when used properly, is huge.
                "It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

                "You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

                      The new inbounding system rocks. Simply pick who you want to pass to and then move him to get open.

                      Genius.

                      I don't know what game you are playing, but I have retrieved many balls in the scenario you described and have not been called for BC once.

                            about inbounding the ball feature...won't it take longer than 5 seconds to position your player correctly, especially in last second game situations? Unless it's extremely easy to use, this one is gonna be for the advanced users.
