    Ratings --- finally

Let me preface this by saying i am one of the few who finds live enjoyable and am aware of the flaws.

I love the way players are rated in this game. for me this is one of the many "little areas" that add up to a great game playing experience.

In the past if you had a player rated in the 60's he sucked. there was no need to keep him on your roster cause he would be slow as molasis and couldn't shoot, and couldn't do crap. when i first saw the rookie ratings on ign i was like ohh crap none of the rookies can play.

Much to my suprise the rating game has made it necessary to look for guys who are good at what you need to make your team successful no longer does the overall rating doom a player to scrubdom. Now a player can be rated 60's and still be an athletic swing man or a deadly 3 point assasin or a defensive stopper. you have to evaluate what your team needs and get the best player to do that and not just get a bunch of 80-90's rated playes in your starting 5.

i think it adds a lot to game play and drafting/ free agents

I also like the new ratings. I think it really helps separate the "deep" or well distributed teams (i.e., NJ, Detroit) versus the teams with one or two decent starters...particularly when you turn fatigue and subs up. Now, Detroits second team of players in the high 50's-60's is clearly better than New York's bench in the low 50's.

Yes, I love this years ratings. It individualizes every player. So its like a 65 rated guy wont play exactly like another 65 rated guy. Everybody has thier own special atribute that you can utilize.

Plus it leaves room for improvment. Now as you progress through the years, all your players wont max out at 99 in 5 years.

I played as the Bulls last nite and Eddie Curry who's rated in the 60's was very effective posting up and throwing up the jump hook.

yeah somiss i like the young bull in the post. also his strength is a 99 so i look for mismatches against weaker big men and run plays to get him right under the rim.

i love getting him on a switched pick with a guard he just turns and dunks right on em... but guys are are just as strong and taller give him a few fits.
