For example, if I run a pick and roll with my PG and C, and I get the D to switch which leaves their C on my PG, if I run too close to a different teammate (say, my SF) the SF will switch with the C and guard my PG and their C will guard my SF (IE less of a mismatch). Then if you keep moving it around and don't stay properly spaced they will eventually sort it all out and end up with everypone having their correct check back without ever having given up an open shot/lane.

You have to learn how to take advantage of these mismatches if you want to score on Superstar mode. I can't win yet, but at least I'm getting so I can compete.

It's the most impressive display of defensive AI I have ever seen in a basketball game.

    That sounds VERY impressive...

I think this may be the game for me.

Although this was already mentioned, the post game is near perfect IMO Posting up, spinning, drop stepping and going up strong looks amazing and feels great doing it. They do double up alot but it allows u to play a really good in and out game and can get you open 3's. I've been abusing the other teams with Gasol and Stromile, good fun

is the post game still super easy with good big men though? i.e. can you easily shoot 85% with Shaq by just dumping it in, spinning and dunking?

Man I forgot to even MENTION the huge variety of defenses that are available to the User and that the CPU throws at you.

3-2 zone, 2-3 zone, 1-3-1 zone, trapping versions of all of them, halfcourt traps, full court man, many more. It's crazy.

When you play the mavs they are constantly switching back and forth between 2-3, 3-2 and man. They even thro in the odd 1-3-1.

Other teams that don't play zone much (IE sixers) will throw one in for a single possession after a timeout and then go right back to man. It catches me off guard constantly. The T-Wolves run a 1-3-1 and put KG in the middle - it's super-tough to beat.

Hint: I've found that the zones are really tough to score on but are weakest in the corners (just like in reality), so with good ball movement you can get a few open looks at three from the deep corner.
