    Troube Facing Up?

Live is solid. It is indeed better than last years version, but I am having a little trouble. This may of course be attributed to my playing NBA 2K3 so much I'm unfamiliar with Live, or its just something new. Is anyone else encountering this? I don't recall on Live '03 having so much trouble facing up to the goal. I can understand if I were in the post with a post player maybe, but not with a point guard. I know the 10 man mo-cap didn't reveal that most guards play with their backs to the basket at the top of the key, how'd they be able to see the court, who is open, lanes, ect. If I don't hurry up and get past the defender, which I never do, I find myself constantly bumping my back again and again against the defender along the perimeter until I give up and pass the ball. This is not guard play, and it is not conducive for any player with quickness. Quick players face up, especailly against slower players. Micheal Finley should not be at the three point line with his back turned when gaurded by Duncan, yet I cannot stop him from doing so. Post players do this to protect the ball, which they do not handle as well as guards, plus their first option is not to pass, and even if, their teamates will be on their exterior, making it cool to have their back to the goal. Guards do it a lot less. I can't stop from doing it in the game, and the only way I have found to face up is using the freestyle and luckily catching a move at some point that turns them back around, or maybe ever gets them past the defender. Often in doing so (freestyle) I've just run out of bounds or get back court called . What I need, without using the freestyle (which I am not fond of, because I find it random), is a simple way to face the basket with my guards. This will surely make my experience a lot better. Can anyone help me?

I think you have to face up with freestyle.

One suggestion! That's it? Okay... (Jerry McGuirre) whose coming with me? I say NO to the akward motions! Turn around pump fakes. Turn around hook passes. Turn around stutter step cross overs. Why not turn around in the first place!!!! Doesn't look good for Live, so what we're saying is "No Micheal Finley cannot get past Tim Duncan, not even of STARTER level." That's pretty bad... I'm doomed, it's PINBALL and I'm the silver ball I guess, I'll skate and bounce around until I find a seam, and maybe, just maybe, it will not close and I'll be able to face up on my way to the basket! Then, I have scoring to worry about. This face up issue is a HUGE mistake EA, you don't have to be doing a CROSS OVER to properly assess your situation.

Anyway, you use the right analog stick if you have PS2. It will allow you to face up if you're standing still.

freestyle is not random. You must be moving the stick like your're playin Street Fighter. Calm down, there's no Ryu-Ken Dragon Punch in this game.

Just press the analog stick in one direction. One simple direction. Go ahead, give it a try. Just one si...no, no no...remember, one simple direction. Yea. Good job.
