Sorry, sliders don't fix that. Got to live with it... I know what you mean, my eyes light up too, only to get pissed a second later. These other people don't seem to mind though, they're a little bit blinded I guess.

Yes players do turn their backs to the goal to protect the ball... OCCASIONALLY, especially guards on the perimeter, it has to be on occasion or else they will not be able to see the court and run the offense. Post players mostly do this when they are in or near the paint. It helps protect the slower from the quicker, and the less from the more aggressive. Good point guards face up to the defender, well any decent player will, unless they are in the post. To me is one of the most frustrating mistakes in the game to have guards backing down from the three point line, forcing them to do turn around, shots, passes, etc, not to mention if any attempted move is cut off (as in 90% of the time) you get bounced back further than you already were. And the freestyle control is a horrible way to remedy this problem. It's cool that it doesn't bother some of you, but it ruins me offensively, and has me impatiently awaiting ESPN Basketball.

ya, I have to agree with you, it is EXTREMELY annoying, and I don't see how anyone can not see this as a problem. A pg doesnt run an offense with his back to the defender the whole play. I dont have any clue why EA decided to do this, it's not necessary, and it ruins an otherwise good game.

I agree, this is an issue. This is not "improved defense". This is a cheap, un-realistic gimmick used to create the illusion of improved defense. Hopefully playing with the sliders will fix this. But at the end of the day, I have to wonder why this game wasn't shipped with playable default sliders.

I have it at 25 now and it feels much much better. The other thing with the auto back down on offense, if you press up on the right stick when you are still you will turn around.
