Over 100 dunks eh?

Every year someone starts the rumor of it being 100s of dunks for both games(Live and 2K) and it always ends up being wayyyyyyy less than that. Last year they said 2k3 had a ton of dunks, I only remember seeing about 7. Same with Live, 100 dunks and it was about 10. No biggie, I cant see how you can get 100 dunks anyway.

Acually 2k3 had many, about 30-40.

Many Variations of a dunk, like one maybe a Dunk with 2 hands and hangs on it, and lets go..

and the next might look the same but no hang..

sutt like that. And there were diffrent dunks depending on the height. Usually the taller ones hang, Usually the players whos poisition is PF will hang more. Or it went by height. Anyways, there were many dunks in 2k3 but i only seen a couple of dunks this year, its not a biggie at but im just wondering if there is more and, im just approuching the rim the same way everytime.

Maybe that's the problem. A lot of dunks are situational.

But in no way are there 100.... that's just silly....

The Game Informer review is where the 100+ dunks came from, ive yet to see 100 either. But like what was said earlier, some dunks may be situational, I also think they count layups as "dunks" too. So with that said there are a bit more than 10, but far from 100. Also the variation thing, that adds to the number as well, Ive seen the same dunk like 3 different times...(swinging on rim, slapping the glass with one hand, slap with 2 hands..etc)

I've seen a ton in practice mode, but very few in actual games.

Try this: take T-mac into practice mode and try dunking while approaching the hoop from all different directions and pressing the dunk button from different distances from the basket. Also from a stand close to the basket. Also with turbo held from all of the above. You will see (by my count) about 12-15.

Then take a power player like Shaq and do the same. You will see about 10-12, all of which are different from T-Mac.

Then try a player like Franchise or Baron (little guy who dunks off 2-feet) and you'll see more.

Then try other players with different body types and styles (I got bored after awhile). KG, Gasol, Gugliotta, Shareef.

I would say there are at least 75. Why we don't see them in-game is a mystery to me. Although I have seen some different ones when players were on fast breaks, so maybe it's just always the same ones in traffic?
