I'm having trouble stopping fastbreaks...it seems as if the computer gets a 5 second head start on fast breaks and my players are too slow to catch up, and what results is two points.

Also the pre-determined defense animations are bugging me, I like to have total control of my players. I don't there's a way to stop the pre-determined animations but what are some tips on playing good defense with this preset defense?

make sure you turn your offensive rebounding off... that is a key also as soon as you shoot the ball get back on defense. if i shoot with rose then i make him get back as soon as his feet touch the ground. i was getting breaked on until i did this.

also don't be afraid to sprint back on defense. if you watch the cpu when they have a fast break opportunity they are sprinting back not jogging so if your not sprinting then you will definately get beat. remember whoever shoots immediately get back with them or use the last man back button to pick the man farthest back and then sprint and make them go to their half court. also sprint back to the paint not to the man if you get in front the will usually pull back but you have to get to them BEFORE they get near the paint

also if you have a slow team don't take quick shots. that kills you against a running team

O.K. I'm getting really pissed off now. I spent three hours yesterday during Game 2 of the World Series trying to figure out the interception animation and I just can't get it. I try to stand right in front of the passing lanes and use either the steal button or the freestyle control and nothing works! Please, please will someone help me? I don't think you can use the block button because you tend to jump forward. How do you jump straight up in the air? Don't get me wrong; I get steals, but just not when I'm trying to. Usually, the other players on my team will intercept passes. That makes me happy and all, but I would like to be responsible for the defense of my beloved Boston Celtics.

      Please help. Frustration is mounting.

I will try to sprint back.

One thing, I did sprint back on time a few times, and the computer basically ice skated passed me for a lay up/dunk. How can I effectively defend, which buttons do I press, to prevent this ice skating effect on fast break?

Another thing, when the game goes down to the wire, I have lost twice in a row. Today I was playing Cavs vs. Raptors, and there was about 10 seconds left and I was playing tought defense, and all the sudden Boozer turns around and shoots over antonio davis and busts a shot to take a 2 point lead. Then I just miss my shot anyway cuz I suck.

How can I prevent people like boozer from making a challenged shot near the paint or any shot? What buttons are good defense buttons? Sorry I may have worded this wrong...lol
