Im having a similar problem. I havent gotten through a complete game yet without getting a dirty disc error. I have played 5 games so far and only once have I gotten past the 2nd quarter. This was the same problem I had with Madden 04 as well. Hopefully, Im going to exchange it tonight for a new one.

I get that dirty disc error every 3 games or so (and I play very short games). So in other words, I can't play more than a half hour without getting it. The disc looks perfectly clean with no scratches, so I don't know if I think returning it for another copy would help anything. Wonder why so many of us are getting this.

Dood if it was just your game that was freezing, you would exchange it for another copy.

But you are fishing for a reason to go trade it for ESPN.

So go trade it.

DDE's are usually a result of the XBOX and not the game.

DDE's are usually a result of the XBOX and not the game.

Im starting to think its my xbox. Im going to get a cleaning disc tonight and see if that fixes the issue. I went through 3 Madden 04 discs before giving up and going with ESPN. I am on my second ESPN. Im starting to think its the Xbox. My NBA Live disc is perfect. No dust or scratches.

is anyone getting freezing on ps2? i have a ps2 version n theres no framrate slowdown (due to camera angle switch) or freezing... just curious if people r havin a freeze up on ps2 as well
