Controller Question - Necessary Information

Can someone please tell me if you have the option to use the regular control pad for player movement rather than having to use the left analog stick? (I understand that the right analog stick is necessary for freestyle control.) I cannot control the players very well with the analog stick and prefer the normal old-school controls.

Can you play using the normal control pad for movement?

I don't know the answer to your question...though I'm not really sure why you'd want to use the D-pad.

I don't think so. you couldn't last year (I know cause I went looking for it - I'm old school too) and I'm pretty sure you can't this year.

Just get used to the analog, your thumb will thank you at the end of the day.

Can someone please try and let me know for sure? Maybe you can change it in the controller setup? I grew up playing Double Dribble and I am horrible with the analog stick.
