On superstar in order to intercept passes you have to control a player that Is not gaurding the ball and play the passing lanes and gamble... sometimes you get beat and sometimes you dont...

Also to get a good fastbreak on superstar you have to kick the ball out to one of your guard as soon as you get the rebound(this is with a fastbreaking team like the cavs) and make him push the ball and then make that one good chest pass to one of your players running the wings....

Re: main diff between allstar and super

I'm going to stay on superstar. All Star is too easy. One thing that bothers me is that there is a lack of offensive rebounds. I don't know if this is also the case on all star. But on superstar the cpu will grab maybe 4-5 rebounds a game. And I don't think tweaking is going to help, I've tried these things:
changing the user def rebound all the way to 0, and upping cpu off rebound all the way to 100.
this seemed to have hardly any effect. So I set up a cpu vs cpu game (10 min q, superstar) and changed the rebound ratings of some players. I played Hawks vs Cleveland. Shareef, Ratliff and Henderson I gave an offensive rebound rating of 99 and I changed the def rebound rating for Cleveland's Z, boozer, Diop and Mihm to 0. In addition to this, I changed the settings for the Hawks, putting box out on, and crash reb on. For cleveland i put box out off, and crash reb also off.

The result... The cleveland caveliers had 4 off rebounds total, and the Hawks only 2! I changed all the settings to make the Hawks have the advantage, but still it didn't have effect... Unless anyone else has any bright ideas, this seems to be a real bug.

Well ive decided to play from now on on superstar as well!
The game was getting way too easy on all star. I didnt like the fact that lebron when left open would hit 90% of his jumpers and it is way too easy on all star to just back your guy down and dunk on him(and i have tried a bunch of different peoples sliders). For me on superstar you have to play a good game the whole game to win. I had a great battle last night with my cavs against the blazers i at one point had a 15 pt lead then right before the half they tied it up. Second half they had a 10 pt lead and i cut it to two with 5 seconds left but they hit their fts and that was the game. I lost but it was a real battle and the blazers are a better team in real life so i should loose against them. Again IMO superstar is the way to go.

I like Super-Star but the lack of Mid-range jumpers on that level bug me. Does anyone else have a hard time getting the CPU to shoot Mid-Range jumpers on Super-Star?

If you upthe user on-ball defense assist to about 88 or so, the cpu will shoot more mid-range jumpers. I also noticed that if you up their mid range shot ability and they hit a few, they tend to oot them more during the game. Give it a whirl.
