Why are PPG Averages so Low in the Future ?

I simmed up to the 2006-2007 season last night, winning back to back championships with the Knicks in 2004 and 2005. Allan Houston suddenly dropped to a 59 overall, out of the starting lineup where Shandon Anderson took his spot with a 65 overall. I traded for Peja and lost Kenny Thomas.

I looked at current All-Stars stats in 2006-2007, and Kobe and AI were only averaging 13.8 a piece. Jermaine ONeal was leading the league in scoring with 24.5 ppg.

Note:I had my sim length at 12 minutes a quarter.

Because players get older and younger players (draft picks) eat up their minutes. Typical player progression. I don't see this as a problem.

Yeah i kinda noticed this too, but when I simmed they were around the 22 to 26 pts range. Another thing I noticed was that after 4 years, Carmelo was only about a 68 ovr and Lebron was like a 62!!! hmmmm
