    I had an exciting game!

I used the Rockets and was playing the Pacers. We had a really slow start, but they were hot. They lit me up with threes and were leading by 20 in the second quarter. I played the best I could and began to catch up in the third quarter. The closer I got to them, the more excited I became. It was like watching a real game where your team is losing and your heart beats faster every time the scores got closer. Near the end of the 4th I caught up, but they quickly took the lead by two points. Time was running out and I quickly used Francis to drive in and draw a foul. I made only one freethrow. The Pacers now have the ball with about 26 seconds left in the game. At the same time I'm guarding them and watching the time go down, I'm deciding if I should foul or let them shoot. Time is going down, their shot clock is ticking away, and before I come to a decision, they shot the ball and we picked up the rebound. Time Out wih 1.6 seconds left. I threw the ball to Francis but could not get it off in time. I lost by 1 point. 81-80. I was disappointed, but at the same time happy. I think I just had the best bball game experience.

Usually when I play bball games, I don't get too excited because they look like video games. I'm just not convinced enough. Live really stepped up this year. The animations are smooth and even though the graphics are not as good as they should be, but boy, this game feels more life like than any other I've seen. Francis feels different from Moochie. The way they move and behave is noticeable. I've never had this much fun playing a bball game before. Right before I bought Live 2004, I was still playing 2k1. 2k3 got old fast. I didn't think there would be another game that could beat 2k1, but I was wrong IMO. I've clocked in at least 25 hours of Live and I must say this is my new favorite bball game. (I'll see how ESPN goes when I rent it this weekend)

I give this game an A for the "sucking you in the game" category.
