Oh noooo!! I just enables the cheat logic for the game. It keeps the scores close throughout the game. So if you have a 15 point lead going into the 4th quater, expect to lose that lead.

Please tell me you were'nt playing with it on.

You do have to watch your strategy in those situations. Slow the game down a bit, because it seems the CPU will suck you into playing the type of game it wants you to, trying to out gun it, and full of speed. Those are the times to really utilize your star players. Put those guys to work, and if you play smart, you can keep the lead you have.

There is some kind of strategy to this game which is a plus, and you have to think about how should I start running my offense when you have the ball. An erratic shot won't most likely go in, and as I said, your star players have the chance to shine. Use their strengths.

On D you have to make sure you only use what works for you. If you have to double a guy that's killing you, do it. Switch the D to full court man to man, which puts pressure on the CPU, and plays them more aggressive, and in turn you have to be more aggressive at that time to. If you lay around and play lazy D, they'll eat you up.

Yeah, tell me about it. I was playing against the Jazz in my Season, and I was up 18 points, and Matt Harpring started bombing away. He hit three 3 pointers in a row and they were getting some momentum until I just flat out slowed the game down, changed my entire strategy, and ended up winning by 32. That is probably the best game my team has played yet. Most games are decided by 1 or 2, but we were on. That is why I love this game. Some nights you are great, most nights you are decent, some nights you just stink up the floor.

i love the comebacks and the runs that each team goes through.

the hot and cold streaks just like real life NBA.

And YES....you have to change strategy during the game to meet the other teams adjustments.

It is the best sports game I've ever played. (well close 2nd is NHL '94)

I don't care about the franchise problems or the occasional missing frames or the not so perfect faces...the gamePLAY is as real as it gets IMO.

This coming from someone who has not touched an EA game since the Dreamcast released and who is an Xbox graphic HO.

Exactly, if i have anything bigger than a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter--i slow it downnn baby! Play smart and the cpu shouldn't be able to do anything--but if you start taking some bad shots--the cpu will make you pay (kinda like real basketball)
