The player off ball movement is even better than I thought. The more you play, the more you appreciate this aspect of the game.

I couldn't agree more. The more you play the game the better it seems to get. Especially the big men fighting for position down low, and runners through the lane trying to get open for a shot. Simply amazing progress over last years game.

While the player graphics are poor IMO, I've really enjoyed 'travelling' around the various arena's. They are not ESPN standard...but some look great. Orlando really shines, MSG looks good, The Nets home court, Air Canada center...some really nice looking arena's.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Personally I don't think the graphics are as bad as everyone says. Are they as good as ESPN - NO of course not - but they are decent and the Arenas do look pretty good. I haven't seen them all yet but MSG does loot hot!

There is almost NO MID RANGE GAME...and this is almost a game killer for me

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Must be you man. The CPU takes a fair amount of Mid Range jumpers against me. They especailly seem to take the mid range baseline jumpers. Chris Webber put up 35 points against me and he only dunked about 3 times. Most times he'd pull up from at 10' or 15' and shoot.

There's more penetration in this game than a Wilt the Stilt autobiogrpahy.

Now that is just too damn funny!

LIve needs a few more sliders - shot tendancy sliders. I believe ESPN have them. That way you could force the comp to take mid-range shots by pumping up the sliders.

How has the game changed from last year as far as shooting animations, and overall gameplay. I grew very tired of last years version and 2002 was the worst ever so I am very hesitant to buy. Is it a lot more sim or just a minor tweak towards sim? Also, do players lean when you push turbo and it freestyle as ridiculous as last year or have they drastically fixed this to be smoother?

Get the game man. It's nothing like those last two versions. You won't regret it. I know many of us was burned by 2002, and 2003 was what it was. This year is really different, and the guys aren't lying about the game having good gameplay.

Of course the graphics leave a lot to be desired, but in game, the animations are so great that I don't notice most of the time. The gameplay is dead on, and the atmosphere is perfect.

How are you getting a mid range game? I check the shot chart at the end...and it's all in the paint or 3 (or longggg 2's) Basically, no mid range game at all.

I've left CPU v CPU play a tonne also and checked...exact same?

Is there some sort of fix etc...?
