24/7 to me seems like the main game just thrown into some different courts with a few different scenarios. I doubt it took that much dev time away.

But if you are gonna say VC/Sega wasted time on 24/7 then why can't the same be said of Live for all the shoes and clothes and unlockables, the music and the cutscenes and whatever else?

Thats because for most ppl those things add to the overall experience. Its great to play with tmac and see him look exactly like he looks on the tv during a real game, shoes, jerseys, bands, tattoos and all. It adds to realism and authenticity. The music, if u like hiphop (which most gamers do), Creates a nice atmosphere also and goes very well with basketball. Unlockables are just nice to have because its adds something else to keep playing for, other than just the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. I dont see any of these things as a waste of time and I dont see 24/7 as a waste either even though it has absolutely nothing to do with nba basketball.

NBA live havent got anything like 24/7 and their dynasty is a lame joke.

Here´s a good review comment from Jon robinson
"Not only is the gameplay tight, but the addition of 24/7 mode adds a whole new level to the term "must buy". The players look as perfect as I've seen in a sim so far, plus the new moves of IsoMotion help set the pace for a game that combines skill, strategy, and old-school button press fever. Sure, the addition of a pro hop button and the separation of the shoot and dunk buttons would make the game all the better, but even without those features, ESPN NBA Basketball is still overall the best playing basketball game this season. For the first time, basketball fans have an excuse to be playing a game at four in the morning. It's 24/7, the life of a baller. Forget Jon Robinson. The life of Jrob Andsteal has now begun. See you on the courts. "

yeah..the stuff I've heard about 24/7 and the new gameplay knowledge coming forth from guys spending more time with the game has definitely made it a "Must By" for me.
