The crowds not coming until...

The play offs.

I am playing a season using the Clips...but I have user control on every team, so I can put in transactions / team changes / injuries etc as they really occur.

Anyways...I simmed ahead to January...picked a LAKERS game, who were leading the league...

Stadium was about half full.

Went to April and played LA v Dallas...both coming first and second in the west.

Stadium about half full.

Tried other teams like Dallas and Sac home games, the same applied.

Went to the play off...where the Lakers met Phoenix in the first round...full house, not a spare seat

A lot of us have always wanted more atmosphere at play off games than regular season games, but this is a strage way to do it IMO.

Side note : Garnett was MVP, LBJ Rookie of the year.

In the West, the play offs featured all the top teams.

In the East, the Nets didn't make it...so I simmed through twice more and they didn't make it either time. Atlanta seemed to finish high up every time, NJ had a losing record each season. Strange as Kidd led the league in asists each year

Final note - the more I play this game, the more I am becoming convinced this is THE best sports game I ever played. It's that good.

I have got the CPU mid range game going...must have been something to do with the defensive assist sliders. Guys were pro hopping to the hoop non stop, but now it's way more realistic and guys are coming off screens for fade aways, behind picks for J's etc. Sweeeeet

Yep.

If I could remember half the stuff that happens when I play....just the little things that make it so realistic, I'd be here all day posting stuff.

BTW Monkey, thanks for the heads up on the Sideline view....WOW.

i never would have considered it before but it's so close and if you zoom out it actually rotates downcourt a bit...also Center Court camera is also awesome zoomed all the way out with auto-zoom off.

Those complaining about camera views in the other game would do well to check this out regardless of the lower quality textures...the animations are so realistic, it more than makes up for the graphics.

also the control on defense is unparalleled in a BBall game.

Blocking from behind, mid-air collisions, adjusted shots, reaching in with your control of left/right hand, diving for looses balls and coming up and passing from the floor....amazing.

Glad to see you and the AI got over your difference's and they started shooting mid-range jumpers, lol. But you are right, this is by far, the best sports game (basketball especially) that I have ever played. I would love to get a group of people together who feel the same, get with EA some way and let them know that the gameplay, sliders, etc. are great this year, and for the next incarnation of the series, to work on graphics, and extras.

I would love to get a group of people together who feel the same, get with EA some way and let them know that the gameplay, sliders, etc. are great this year, and for the next incarnation of the series, to work on graphics, and extras.

Good idea

I am truely shocked how good this is...and how it's getting better game after game.

I played v Atlanta and Shareef had a poor first hald. Jason Terry held them in it and as the teams walked off to the half the Tsar says "Shareef is really having an off night, but he's too good a player to not come back" and Marv says "especially as he team mates have kept his team alive" or something...I love this commentary. Its simple...but really does a good job of staying fresh as it doesn't use jokes etc. Just analysis and play by play.

I am also LOVING the post game now I've got the hang of it...I am posting up Elton Brand and just going to work. The double team came and I spun, pivot, one handed off balance due to the hit...ball rattled around...fell in...two points and i'm at the line.

I said out loud "f###!!!!...that's too good".

The fella's on here...the hard core guys who played IDO3 and now love LIVE 04....were absolutely spot on. This thing is amazing

WTF is up with the empty stadiums alls eason long though???

Skins...It's like they took the soul from ID03 and added it to their live 03 freestlye and atmosphere...and then added 10 man mo cap also.

Until now, I'd only ever seen right guys taking threes, team styles, hot and cold streaks, off ball movement done well...in Inside Drive.

Skins...It's like they took the soul from ID03 and added it to their live 03 freestlye and atmosphere...and then added 10 man mo cap also.

Until now, I'd only ever seen right guys taking threes, team styles, hot and cold streaks, off ball movement done well...in Inside Drive.
