    Retiring jerseys, awards and stuff...

Keeping in mind that I'm renting the game and therefore I don't have the instruction manual, I have to ask the following questions about Dynasty Mode:

--How do you retire a player's jersey number?
--When are the Player of the Month awards given out? I'm halfway through December and the November player of the month awards haven't been given out yet.
--How do you train a player without the risk of actually making him worse?

I believe you have to spend at least 15% on each category so that there are no negative progressions.

Speaking of awards, what's up with the Most Improved Award? The guy who wins always scores like 3 ppg. The developers really need to work on the code for simulated games. They force most starters in the league to play 35 min.

Yeah, in a simulated season some guy from, I think, the Phoenix Suns who played 15 games and scored 8 points got the Most Improved Player award.

Makes you wonder how much worse he must've been last year!

i think you only need to give 10 points to each category, and the one you want to work on specifically devote the rest to.

I dont know whats the deal with your player of the month awards, because Ive gotten my November ones around the first week in December

I play 28 games per season in franchise mode. I just finished playing my first season(played about 21 games--I simmed the rest of my games when I qualified for the playoffs). I play with 12 minute quarters.

My team is the Golden State Warriors and Jason Richardson won the award for the "Most Improved". He went from like a 15.8(?) ppg avg. to a 22/23 ppg avg.

Also, Avery Johnson retired from my team(He was only there for one season). His jersey wasn't retired, but I figure it's because he wasn't there(in Golden State) long enough to put up numbers that would be considered "good" and also he wasn't that great a player during his time in Golden State(and also he was the 3rd string point guard).

Most likely the players to get their jersey retired would likely be "franchise" type players who spent more than a few years on a team.

                            Just my two cents...
