I have espn 2k4 but should i get live

hey guys. i just wanted to know if i should get nba 2004. espn isnt bad but im feeling like i want more. here's what i really look for in a game.

-teams playing like they should play. mavs, kings, nets running it, spurs pounding it with duncan, lakers getting balanced but playing around shaq. i feel espn doesnt do this well as detroit and utah was breaking as much as other teams.

-realistic stats and game speed. i know that ill have to get good sliders but is this possible. with nhl 2004, i could never find a realistic game speed and stats. all i want is the game to have the nba speed and get true stats. with this also comes difficulty. if i play with the nuggets vs. the lakers will i get beat most of the time. i do not cheat or use moves repeatedly while playing so this would not be an issue.

-good in game presentation. are there good animations, crowd reactions, etc. outside of the game does not bother me but i want in game to be good.

-realistic off season. i will not sim through anything so is the season and off season realistic. are there any bugs that will occur even if i go through everything and do not sim and parts.

sorry this was so long. i like espn but i feel like i need more. im not really big on graphics or visuals as long as the games and teams play like they should. any feedback will be appreciated. thanks.

checks got the right idea. obviously some of us love the game, read the post named live the subtle things or something like that and that can give you a glimpse at what the people who enjoy the game are seeing, also notice there aren't a ton of post like this game is too easy, i'm 82-0! so that has got to be a sign of something.

I'd suggest renting it because different strokes for different folks..but I have both and espn is fun and has it's good points but I enjoy live better because with live you can tell the difference between playing the mavs and the pistions for example with espn most of the teams play about the same also I like things like the fact that live has real shoes and the fact that cats with nike deals can only wear nikes and so on but the post play is much better in live the players interact better in live as far as movement away from the ball teams go through there stars in live also with live i get very real stats in my dynasty/season i am playing with the lakers and shaq batman and kobe is robin with batman potential..and the other guys fill in around..with espn which i feel is a good game i just don't enjoy it as much as live so I say rent it at least and of course there are sliders so you can get whatever type of game you want but I have found some very good live sliders and if and when you get it i will send them to you
