    player progression - WTF?

It doesnt seem as though players'attributes increase to much from season to season. I simulated 4 seasons, and Lebron only improved 5 points. If the player progression is that bad, i think ill have to switch to ESPN basketball.

Is it something im doing? I edited all of the player rotations to accurately reflect teams' depth charts and I improved some players' ratings (Lebron, Mehmet, Moiso, Fortson, Josh Howard, Ginobili, etc..) Perhaps my editing screwed up the player progression AI logic.

What kind of player progression have you guys seen?

i simulated all the way to 2010 and Lebron James actually DIGRESSED. That is crazy. I didnt see anyone really improve that much either.

The player progression is different each time you start a new dynasty. The first dynasty I simulated, Alvin Williams decreased, the second dynasty he went up slightly. I did notice that Tyson Chandler always seemed to go up.

I saw Kobe jump up to a 99 in one season...

But what I don't get is that once you reach 35, the game makes a player take a HUGE nosedive so that by the time he's 38, he's beyond useless (with the exception of Shaq who can be MVP at a 68). I agree players should be a shell of their former selves at 37, but not a shell of a shell of a shell of a shell of a shell of their former selves.

Players should decline, true. But not 20 points in one season. Even Kareem was at least a 60s rated player in the late 1980s. Jordan was given a 73 (add 2 to that since they jacked all the All-Star's stamina down so he'd really be a 75). Never that in this game.

I'm sorry, but no one but no one should decline in the span of his career from an 86 to a 35 no matter how old he gets. Maybe an 86 to a 55, but not a 35. That would never happen in real life.

That is crazy. How exactly did EA implement that? Did he argue with the refs a bunch the first year, and then a little less every year after that?
